So........i matted up my lacefront : (

Hey ladies,
I have a problem, I hope yall can help...........

I bought a used lacefront wig from a friend on Tuesday of this week. It smell like her house, so I wanted wash it.

I put it in a sink of hot water and shampoo and the dang thang matted up on me something awful.


What should I do? Any ideas?????

Please help........

What kind of hair is it? Chinese or Indian/ yaki or curly????

Did you wash it on a mannequin head?

couple of things.....do a search on BHM

I have heard that bleach bath can get out tangles, but not sure about the amount of bleach to water.

Whatever you do make sure the next rinse is with cold water

you could also try soaking in conditioner- Silicon Mix should work great.

I alreadly soaked it in conditioner- Kenra MC and it did not help.

I will search BHM for the bleach bath.

my computer took forever to post...totally agree w/ all the advice given. has any of it helped? you should probably contact the vendor you got it from...it honestly shouldn't matt like that...the cuticles may not be going all in the same direction

You can also soak it in fabric softner - it will coat the strands just like the silcone mix and is much easier to find!
