Please help! I have a film like coating on my hair even after clarifying

I washed with a generic aloe rid, then I used Queen Helene Cholesterol (I usually deep condition with Humecto which still gives me dryness after rollerset/ flat iron. I mixed some amla oil in my conditioner to get moisturized hair and I used lacio leave in before I rollerset...

After I flat ironed I had hair all over the sink and my hair is super dry and weighed down. When I touch it I can feel a film on it? Please help

Although I like Queen Helene products, they do tend to weigh my hair down. I would assume it was that + the oil. Is your hair fine? Mine is, so I can't add oils to my conditioner when I rollerset. I'll only use them when I"m going to airdry.

I agree with pp, the cholesterol/amla combo is probably to blaim. It doesn't help that amla contains mineral oil

Try clarifying and then use the cholesterol by itself, or a whole other conditioner all together
