1. I will steam once a week to every three weeks. It depends if my hair is loose or twisted up.
2. I like to steam on wet and dry hair, using the SalonsRUs model. Sometimes I use a shower cap and sometimes I don't. (I'm weird.)
3. I steam with Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose and GPB, Giovanni Smooth as Silk, castor oil, coconut oil, and hemp seed oil.

Re: Steaming Challenge 2012 - Part II
My steamer broke last night! The water started pouring heavily into the little drain cup. I removed the water supply container and noticed the rubber gasket had broken and fallen into the container.
I'm so disappointed. I'm going to look for my purchase information. If I can't find it, I'll need to buy a new one.

Re: Steaming Challenge 2012 - Part II
@ nichelle02 That sucks! You maybe able to replace the rubber gasket yourself if you have to. Just take the broken one to Home Depot/Lowe's and see if they carry it. GL!

@ kittenz you know that's a good idea. The gasket fell into the container so it will take some work to get it out. But I'm going to give it a try. That has *got* to be better than buying a new one.

Re: Steaming Challenge 2012 - Part II
@ nichelle02 I hope you can fix it!
Speaking of broken steamers, I fell and broke one of the legs of my steamer! It still balances and works fine, but maybe I can get my stepfather to glue it back or something. I was so mad.
I'm still under the steamer now; I pre-pooed with coconut oil, added AO GPB, steamed, then added AO HSR, and I'm steaming again. Usually, I will shampoo between conditioners, but I was feeling lazy today. LOL
