I apply lightly to scalp only. Only like the thinnest amount on the very tip of your finger.

When I use it for those 2 weeks, I keep my hair highly moisturized, including Moisturizing DC'ers and maybe a little JBCO (especially in the Winter).

I don't use it at all on the length of my hair, just scalp only.
So, no, I haven't had any unusual dryness?

The only real downer or con for me has been scalp tenderness (which usually happens at about 2 weeks of consistent use) which is why I take a break from it for about 2 weeks.

I asked another Poster who uses OCT and she said she experiences a slight tenderness as well even with OCT.

OP, which product do you think you'll be getting? The OCT or the MT? I hear the OCT helps with gaining length and the MT helps with gaining thickness, I'm not sure if that's still the general consensus.

I'm so weak. I broke down and bought the OCT.

I would like to try both products though. I'll do the OCT first.

I'll definitely keep a photo log of my progress and share it with you guys.

LOL I figured you may have chosen that one

How will you be using it? The same way IDare uses her MT?

I will definitely keep these tips in mind when I try the MT. Thanks IDare!

I'm definitely gonna take a page from IDare's book.

I'm just hoping this will help fill in that thinning area. The funny part is that I only notice it when my hair is straight.

Both, I walked in to a feed store and paid $25 but you can also order in online. I live in CA central valley. Very heavy agriculture area and had about 35 feed stores to choose from. Check your yellow pages and call before you visit. HTH

The one thing holding me back is that the price is a little steep (roughly $100 for the complete system). For those of you who use this product, is it really worth the investment? I understand that results may vary, but I would still love some feedback.

Thanks Ladies!

I use it as a pre-poo sometimes (on my scalp), but I can't say what it's doing, if anything. I got my hair cut in late May and I can see that it has grown back at least an inch, which is not normal for me. I'm not sure if it's the OCT, a summer growth spurt, or the fact that I got my hair cut after waiting so long.

However, my sister's edges were almost bald, so I put braids in her hair to give it a rest. I put some OCT and water in a spray bottle, and sprayed it on her edges every day. Her edges started growing back in no time. When it was time to retouch her braids, the areas where I couldn't grab, were "grab-able". LOL So something was working.

Thank you for your honest review. I guess time will tell. When you use it for pre-pooing did you apply on your scalp only?

I used both in 2008 and 2009; I honestly recieved the greatest benefit from the MT. My hair is uber thick and I always have people compliment on how thick it is (I haven't used MT since I ran out in 2009 - this makes me wonder why I stopped). With OCT, I didn't notice any extraordinary results, no increased growth nor thickness and I still have a bottle left that I need to use up.

In my opinion, MT is better bang for your buck.

Well, I'll give the OCT a shot since I already ordered it. At least they have a money back guarantee. I'm definitely going to monitor and log my progress.

Thanks for your review!

I use both and have for almost two years now. I credit them with helping me grow my hair back and retain it during a period of very bad health (pics in fotiki). I love the way OCT makes my hair feel and the accompaning product (I dont use the shampoo much and I really like the condish as a leave in), OCT gave me length but...I think the most thickness comes from MT. MT is tricky because it can cause breakage if you dont dc and flakey scalp if you dont mix with a little oil of some type, most use castor oil.

I'm still working on those bald spots so I need to get back on the MT.

Saraii, I was actually able to get the discount on their website (ovationhair.com). When you get to the final check out screen, it asks you how you heard about them. LHCF is listed as one option.

Ovation was a waste of money for me. I used the cell therapy only religiously for several months and saw no true results. I have not repurchased.

Have you tried the MegaTek, and if so, how do you like it?

...I just bought the MegaTek too.

I think perhaps a 2010 OCT/MegaTek challenge may be in order. Would any of you ladies be interested in joining me?

I just received my OCT today and I am so excited. I can't wait to use it!! I bought it because of its 100% money back guarantee. I am also a MT user, and I had gotten great results from that as well. I have seen some of the OCT reveiws and updates and I was impressed. I plan on using my OCT until the end of my pregnancy (late Sept), and I will report the results. If you are a true PJ like me, you will appreciate the Money back guarantee and invest in the product. If you don't like it, just send it back.

But a lot of ladies who use it, love it!
