I finally took my Senegalese twist out for good after having them for two years and four months. My last relaxer was in December 2011. I cut it a few times in between take out/retwisting. I'm 100% natural and plan on keeping it natural for a few months depending on how difficult wash days are (maybe texlax or texturize). It's pretty thin now (not surprised) so I hope a few henna treatments will help thicken it back up.

I have more pictures but it's only letting me upload one. My Avatar is another shot. Can someone tell me how to upload multiple photos in one thread? I'm using an iPad if that matters.

Your hair looks gr8! That's some wonderful progress you made. Did you wear your hair out at all in between installs or did you just go from one install to the next?

Thanks ladies! I never wore it out. Had them removed one afternoon and retwisted the next morning. My first install was May 2012 and the final removal was Monday. Kept them for about two months each time. Here's another picture of a somewhat length check. I don't know why I can't post all of them together :ohwell:

It gets BIGGER every minute! This was at the end of the day yesterday.

^^ No, because I didn't plan on going natural and was not documenting. I started with damaged relaxed hair overseas. When I got back state side, I got twists because I didn't want to cut it off right away. I ended up just keeping twist a lot longer than I thought I would.

Your hair is pretty. So lovely.

Why do u feel u need to texturize?

I just feel like I will get frustrated on wash days because my texture is 4z. I would want to soften the coils a little.
