Longterm protective style challenge

I'm officially going to start a long term style that will last 4 months straight... I'm getting a full sew in on Friday ... If any ones interested in joining just chime in ... This challenged a bit different off some because style will not be removed until after full 4 months...


I have clarified ,apogee treatment. , honey suckle deep condtioned .. And oiled and sealed my hair in twist until Friday... I will also get a trim ...I'm hoping to retain a full two inches or more ... Official measurements will come soon ...

Im doing this as well for the rest of the year. I also have a full sewin & plan to keep the braids in up to 4 months at a time. I say braids because I change the weave itself at least once a month to refrain from boredom. Lol

I've always been curious about what the braid pattern should look like for weaves. Anyone have any examples? I'd like to do a curly weave in the next month or two.

Can you do this with buns? I think twists are screwing up the ends of my hair!

When I cut the weave out I will take a pic of how the girl did the braid pattern.

It's official jan 24 protective style installed ... Starting length after trim 10 1/2








Will update once a month how sewin is going these next 4 months

I'd like to join, I'm having my first sew in installed tomorrow and hoping to have sew ins all year in 4-6 month increments.

Haven't updated in a couple months ... I'm doing well started off deep condtioning 1 time a week for first 2 months now doing it twice a month with a shampoo cleaning also.. Been using wild growth oil and hairfinity/ prenatal vitamin /vitamin c

Not planning to take out for another month or more

Well this is my nape I left out sew in.. It seems to be growing , it's a bit longer when stretched unbraided ..

I started hairfinity and I'm a week from finishing my 2nd bottle ..

I'm thinking about taking sew in out next week..

I want to do kinky twist crochets and need to prepare my hair for a week before installing them .. I'll post pics of my growth if I take

I forgot all about this thread. Yes, I take my sewins down on my own. I trust no one trying to cut black thread out of my black hair. Lol

I took out the sew in ... Got some good growth for the 11 weeks I had it in ..
I took a pic with same dress on from jan of this year.. It's not a lot but it's noticeable ..plus the first pic my hair was straighter than my hair in today pic.. 2 inches of growth retained .. Getting ready for another style ( crochet kinky twist ) for about 6-8 weeks
