We just had an opening of H&M a couple of weeks ago. It's located in Scottsdale, AZ.

Im not sure how much things were in $ but most of the shoes were between £50-80, I'm not sure about the boots though.

I wouldn't bother buying the shoes for that much, they're nice but you could get a regular pair of Jimmy Choos in the sales for the same price.

I saw one woman who had one of each pair of shoes, all the bag and all the accessories, which I think shouldn’t have been allowed.

I got the zebra shoes, the red rap around shoes, the bracelet to go with the zebra shoes and a leather bag for DH (the men’s collection was hardly touched honestly you could hear crickets chirping). My sister got the black dress with diamante detail, the blue cage shoes, the black and blue shoes, the zebra shoes and the bracelet to go with the zebra shoes.

My sister and I were in the last but one time slot (11.15-11.35), I think the only reason we got anything was because I’m a size 4 and she’s a size 7.

    @ bolded section!

Was there actually much stock left in the 'VIP' section? I was after the peep-toe boots and Zebra print clutch bag. I am also a 7, but i find that its a popular size,

so you had the grey band right? that was the slot i would of had.

As i was effictively the 'gammy legged boy' (think pied piper of hamlin) at the front of the que, i turned round and said "i'm going home" funny thing is ppl started to follow (lol) then the assistant started yelling "DONT GO HOME - YOU CAN WAIT TILL 12 AND YOU MIGHT GET SOMETHING"

bear in mind it was 7.30am. and i really didnt have the energy to wait for 5 hours in the hope of getting scraps!

but well done on you and your sis horde!

I wanted the blue suede dress, but everyone on tfs said it, as well as all the other clothes fit terribly and were made huge. So, I'm over it now. I tried to win some things on ebay, but the prices are ridiculous.

Thank you! I’m having serious buyer’s guilt lol. Apparently they replenished some shoes in the London store, but Thursday morning may be a good time to go to H&M as that’s the last day to return all the goods (a lot of the shoe bids on ebay end on Wednesday evening).

5 hours is a long time to wait for shoes you may get, I’m still recovering now.

I think they had different colour system in Birmingham cause we had pink wrist band.

It's funny you should mention the pied piper, I was telling my sister the story in the queue and all she could say was he sounded like a pedo

I agree with what you said about thursday - but im back at work,

I must admit i was dissapointed with some of the quality of what i saw....

Aww poor BlackFashionista with you clubfoot
Are H&M doing bowler hats? I quite fancy one but the prices I’ve seen were a bank account worrying.

Do they have some sort of list that you can but your name on in case the boots you wanted are returned?
I though the quality of the bags were shocking especially the pink handbag which looked like my bento box (the zebra clutch was nice but not worth the money they were asking.)

I’m not surprised there were loads of left clothes, they were poorly cut and the material used was cheap (my sisters size 8 dress was way too big for me and I'm a 10.)

The H&M on 34th and 7th avenue still has plenty of the clothes in stock. I saw the blue dress, there were at least 10 there as of 10:30pm tonight.

This is exactly why I stayed away - usually when designers do collections for H & M the quality is good. However from the press shots I was not impressed. I love Tamara Mellon (owner) but she is a business woman first and a fashonista second (hence the concept of Jimmy Choo) so I kinda got the feeling that the quality would be heavily watered down.

Anyway I love Jimmy Choos (when it was owned by him) but the quality has since dwindled and there are some seriously chavvy elements as of late that I have noticed.

I am now looking for a well priced shoe line with a bit of quality as I tend to have favourite shoes and only wear my dress up shoes once or twice so the days of spending 200 pounds or more a pop on shoes seem redundant - it feels like that is sadly lacking in the UK.

I like Steve madden for the pure recyclable up to the minute fashions and rip offs of designer shoes (quality is ok but not fantastic) but we don't have it here in the UK. If we did I would be a shoe fiend.... probably a good thing....

    I hear you.

I think the whole concept of the lux shoe has been somewhat cheapened by 'WAG' culture, (think Gina Courture jewel encrusted shoes @ £250 a pop - does anyone other than WAGS wear these still??) but there is also the common issue of being all dressed up and no where to go. Its all well and good wearing heels to Tescos but some shoes are just too specieal for that

In regards quality footwear, in the past i have found Kurt Gieger, Carvella Pied de terre really good for the combination of current styles AND quality* however in the past 1/2 years there has been a serious increase in prices..i actually rememeber when Carvella shoes were no more than £70..I've seen shoes for £140...shocking.

*unlike New Look, Priarmani, Office = good selection of style/your feet will be blistered by the time you make it to the bus stop vs. Clarks, Gabor = comfort but "classic styling" to put in kindly

BlackFashionista01 I am so with you on that WAG style thing that is taking over in the UK. It's like a pride for all women to look the same these days. The Gina shoes thing illustrates this point to a tee. Thanks for the recs re shoes. I was also a huge Carvela/ Kurt Geiger fan as the sales are fab. I think at one point I bought like ten pairs in the sale for just over 200 pounds and they were all really nice pairs of shoes.

But I must admit that there is seriously a HUGE market for mid-priced up to the minute knock off's in the UK. I find Zara copies to be of very poor quality and the heels are "unstable". Whilst I love Pri-marni I am not convinced by their shoes although they do the occasional amazing pair of shoes.

Anyway maybe we should start a London Fashion thread and stop highjacking someone else's thread - LOL !!!
