PoisonFlowerIvy (her natural hair is pure awesomeness)

I will be eyeing this thread. I am determined to sew in my own weave. I paid over $150 for my first (and only) sew in like a fool.

^Shoot, $150 sounds like a good deal to me. I saw some stylists were charging $190 in my area :nono:

Thanks for all the input ladies. I can't wait to get weaved up for fall!

Alright weave divas, can anyone in good faith recommend a good grade of BSS hair? If not, I'll order online from China.

Belle Du Jour the best i've ever bought was my bohyme brazilian wave

I'm relaxed and it blends well with my hair! I just do a twist or braid out and i'm good to go! You only need one pack...just split the wefts. If you want it fuller then use 1 1/2 packs.

trendsetta25 that's true about Morgan Taylor. She loves all the hair. I think they send her extra nice batches :look: But she does a good job with her hair and her real hair is growing nicely.

Looks beautiful! I just looked it up online and I guess BSS hair ain't cheap anymore LOL! But I guess it avoids the hassle of ordering from China. I may try this hair. :yep: I am SO excited!

I'm looking at cuticle remy xq or saga gold for straight hair, and some cheap outre hair for a curly style. I'm not planning to keep my sew in for too long so I'm not concerned about how well it lasts or being able to reuse. I just don't want it to look all fake and plastic.

Belle Du Jour no it's not...i think they feel like if they raise the prices on the hair then the customer will think it's "good" hair and purchase it over a $10 hair in the sale bin. EVEN THOUGH the hair is still crap.

I'm all about my Chinese vendors. Bobraz is the ONLY BSS hair i will EVER buy! lol

Good to know. If the prices are comparable, then I might just go with the Chinese vendors. :yep:

I am planning to get Bobraz and wear it from October until February hopefully (going to make a upart wig). But I also really like the jacebeauty Russian Fede straight hair to alternate with. Its gotten great reviews

Actually, I see a lot of these gurus making u part wigs with their weave hair. Is that the new thing? Can you get a U-part without having to make it?

I'm sure the hair companies will come out with that next. I'm going to check out her video and see how much they cost. I'd like to try one and I don't think I have the patient to make one. :perplexed

Model Model and I think Outré has their own line of 3/4 wigs. I think you should just buy some cheapie hair and try it out yourself. Saves you a load of money on get your hair professionally done.

If you need help you can refer to my YT channel. I have a thorough step by step video series that a lot of people found to be helpful.

Bumping. Any other recommendations for GOOD BSS hair?

Outré Velvet Remi, Bohyme. Bobbi Boss IndiRemi and Cuticle XQ Remy is good too.

OMG, weave hair is so expensive  I was looking at the Outré Velvet and Bobbi Boss Ocean Wave because they look really nice in the YT videos I saw but I didn't want to spend that much for the first weave. . .I bought some Sensationnel Premium Now which got positive feedback on BHM. We'll see how that turns out. I'm going to keep looking though. . .

Go cheap for your first weave until you get the hang of things. I am willing to spend the money because I realize the expensive hair can last a long time with proper maintenance. MissBossy has had her u-part for over a year and it still looks new. I plan I on making mine last at least 5 months while is less that $50 a month on the hair. With the cheaper hair I had to buy every month because it just didn't last
