Went to Whole Foods today and checked out their selection of natural hair gels. I tried a Giovanni tester on my nape first. Initially, it felt really wet in my hair, but after a few minutes it hardened and my hair felt like PLASTIC :shocked: I have to spritz my nape with water after I post this. Thank goodness I tested it first...if anyone's thinking about buying, DON'T :nono:

I did walk out with the Kiss My Face Upper Management gel though. It made my edges feel SUPER soft when I applied, I was shocked enough to buy it. Also restocked w/a bottle of NTM leave in.

ETA: Tried the KMF gel. Felt really nice on my hair bu way too gentle to smooth anything down. Returning tomorrow.

Dang girl, you are not playing! Lol I've never tried these products but I've seen them on Ebay though. I can't blame you though cause if you find your staple products and there's a good sale, you might as well stock up.

IDareT'sHair yea...I'm not up for 1-6 weeks of waiting during the holidays unless I have to [like I'm willing to wait for PBN with their BOGOF sale]. If the vendors on my list keep having nice sales before then, I'll only have maybe one or two vendors left for actual BF shopping :lol:

I am not by any means a wig nor a weave person but due to my setback and the upcoming winter, I want to leave my hair alone and protect it while I nurse it back. Hopefully I'm not too self conscious to wear it, we'll see.

I've always used Mango Butter while I was relaxed so I don't know why I didn't do this sooner but the mango butter left my hair looking shiny, moisturized and soft. The pudding is to die for. I'm glad I went ahead and purchased it because I won't be using any other puddings after this, it's a definite keeper.

Also, I had a store credit at a local store so I also purchased Cantu Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque.

Update: I think I'm allergic to something in the Mango Butter Curl Creame. Since I started using it, my scalp has been itching something terrible. I've washed my hair with Sulfate Free shampoo this week and have gone back to my SheaMoisture products. I will wait until my hair stop itching and introduce the mango butter moisturizer to see if I have issue with that too. Or maybe it was a build up on my scalp because I choose to use sulfate free shampoo once every 6 weeks instead of 4. I wash with conditioner every week. Not sure. I might try it again but maybe in another couple of months. Anyway, I will start shampooing every 4 weeks from now on.
