SymptomsI found this article, coincidentally, after I started a sugar fast. I finally feel in control of my eating. I am no longer having seconds or thirds or eating when I am already full.
- Tummy weight gain
- A strong drive to eat candy cookies, etc.
- Fatigue
- Anxiety
- Mild Depression
This is amazing information, and provides a lot of insight into why I was so out of control for so long. I'd been out of control with food in general, and especially sugar, for years.
According to Diana Kress, RD, "At least 46 percent of women are born with a gene that prompts the pancreas to overreact to carbohydrates... Left untreated, the chronic blood sugar fluctuation fatigues the pancreas..." This leads to type 2 diabetes.
Some people who have followed her guidlines have been able to stop using mood-altering drugs like Prozac and treatments for bipolar disorder!!! Sugar is truly the devil.
There is an article in the magazin called First for women, dated November 16. She also has a book called "The Metabolism Miracle: 3 Easy steps to regain control of your weight... permanently."
