    Default DERMALOGICA CHROMAWHITE

Ladies please help! I've had problems with ingrowns since I was 16 years old. Now that I am 23, I have a career and can not afford to meet clients with all the scarring on my neck. Because the hair is constantly coming out of my face, my skin cant heal. I used to do thermolysis (electrolysis with heat) then stopped. I tried laser and it works, but it causes temporary blisters/scabs so I stopped that too. I started taking birth control pills and they really worked; but I chose not to use them anymore as they were causing water retention. I want to have naturally clear skin, and not have to use make up all the time.

I heard about Dermalogica's Chroma White System. Its a 5 piece kit valued at $280+ dollars. I've heard and read excellent reviews about Dermalogica in magazines (C-concentrate from the chroma white line, daily resurfacer, medibac etc), but I just want to be sure. Has anyone tried this line? Any Dermalogica fanatics out there? Any recommendations?

I've never heard of that product that you are asking about. Have you tried tendskin or the homemade version of it? It works on men with this problem.

Wont you keep having the same problem unless you take care of the underlying cause? I had excessive hair (PCOS) and until I took care of my medical issues and balanced my hormones, it was a never ending cycle of laser treatments, excess hair, and little scars. Your hormones may be the issue.

If you're near a Dermalogica why don't you go in for a consultation?

I agree - because when I was on the pill, everything was fine and dandy! What steps did you take to resolve this? I'm not into western medicine, as they always want to prescribe a pill or inject you with something. I am interested to hear what you did. PM me if necessary.

I'm not, and to be honest I've experienced too many "cosmetologist" that just don't know ish...I'd rather hear it from those who use the products and have seen results.

Did you try AHA's like Alpha Hydrox? It seems like you need enough exfoliation to keep the hairs from becoming ingrown and then you could just have them threaded or something. Have you been to the derm?

Not specifically. I've always been told about exfoliation and I do it regularly but most of my in growns are deep. I tried tend skin and it was *meh* here is what I use on my skin currently: Vichy normaderm cleanser and wash, Miss MyMy cleanser and moisturizer and exfoliant. It seems I need a heavier exfoliant? I am looking into Dermalogica Daily Resurfacer, as it has AHA and BHA.

I'm wondering about microdermabrasion vs. chemical peels, and maybe that's a separate topic. But I do need to get down to the source and visit an endocrinologist.
