I prefer threading but I just moved back to Houston and I haven't found a decent "threader" so far...I might go back to waxing because so far the pain of threading isn't worth it!
ETA: I also like threading because I don't have to worry about sunlight irritating the areas that I wax. If I don't have some sort of shade for my eyebrow area, I get those annoying white bumps.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.
Both. I can't wax my face because of Retin-A nor would I want to anyway. I'm not going to have someone thread the bikini area either (unless it's just clean-up after a waxing like at Shobha).
I voted waxing for eyebrows. My eyebrows are more defined with waxing and the pain is over momentarily. Waxing is supposed to cause wrinkles, which is one of the reasons I switched to threading, but I can't help but wonder if pulling the skin taut around my area for threading is any better.

Definitely threading for the brows! Been a long time since I had my brows waxed but I do remember sometimes coming out with a different brow shape, or way thinner than I was expecting. I think there's much more control with threading.
I disagree. Brow threading is more painful than lip threading to me. I just use my tongue to hold the skin taught.
I appreciate when the threader is fast. I HATE a slow threader. You know, the kind that has to see every single hair as it exits the skin. They have no plan, they just plan as they go, correcting errors as they go along -more pain.
I like them fast and precise. If you can find a threader like this, then threading feels like nothing more than a gentle scratch to your skin.
I've been getting threaded for years by several different people and its always painful. I also don't think it looks as good as waxing on me because my facial hair isn't quite thick enough. The worst part for me is the inner part of my brow... I shed real tears everytime.
Waxing was a breeze for me. I loved how sharp the shape of my brows were and that it really stood out well. I felt like my look brightened up..I don't personally get the same effect with threading. I keep threading because waxing gives me those tiny bumps on my face and has even left rashesI so wish I was able to go back to waxing.

Reggie/products/goals:Protective styling with wigs and washing weekly,Pre-pooing with heat on dry hair,AO poo and Condish (island naturals, gbp, hsr, or white camellia) ,detangler/leave-in:KBB hair nectar or milk, moisturizer: afroveda define or shea amla, BSL by 6-10 and waist length by 12-11
Yoga,cardio/weights: 3-6 times a wk, Diet: fish only primarily vegan, vegetarian, and raw vegan Supplements: msm, evening primrose, green powder, multi,calcium,emergen-C
Tweezing. My eyebrows aren't that thick, so I need every hair to count. I pluck carefully. I've threaded before, but the pain wasn't worth it, and I went to multiple people. They say it doesn't hurt after a while, but lies.
I use so many hair removal methods--none of them threading or waxing. Razor for the waist down, Remington Trimmer for bikini and armpits (but not as much in the summer), dipilitory for armpits and bikini line, epilator for upper lip and chin, and tweezers for brows and chin. Hair removal is a lot of work!
ETA--I just saw I posted last year and gave a totally different answer!![]()

Threading is very painful and it makes my heart beat fast..but I will never get another wax. The results are so much better. With waxing I wouldn't have a clean even arch...I'm still waiting for hairs to grow in from my last wax about 4months ago. Threading is for me!
Waxing is over faster and hurts less, but threading lasts longer. I usually wax while i'm in school because nobody knows how to thread.
