I am "treating" my hair to a Henna treatment this weekend.

I can't believe its November already. Crazy how time flies. I am going to start washing my hair every other week to cut down on manipulation but this is my Henna weekend.

Friday:
Pre-poo: Coffee Oil on scalp and Coconut Oil on length under conditioning cap for 20 mins
Shampoo: Keracare Detangling Hydrating
Henna: Mehandi Henna for African American Hair and leave in overnight

Saturday:
Cowash: V05 Strawberries and Cream and Claudies 3 in 1
DC: Komaza Care Olive Oil Moisture under steam
Leave-ins: Annabelle's/oil/Giovanni Direct
Heat Protectant: Redken Heat Glide
Dry: Roller set

CrysMelis

HairCare Enthusiast
DE Transitioning Mousse Treatment (2+ hrs), DC with Donna Bella La Perla Mask, Rollerset with my leave-in: SSI Coco Creme, press my roots and wrap!

I will add one step into the DE process (that isn't part of the process) and that is to pre-poo with HQS Coconut Lime Oil after blow drying and flat ironing the treatment into my hair, right before the second wash and DC.

Simple. Easy. Gorgeous Hair.

Where did you get the Donna Bella La Perla Mask if you don't mind me asking CrysMelis I'm looking for something to smooth my roots, cause right now even roller setting which I love is not cutting it.

Saturday:

Shampoo
Post relaxer protein treatment (spray on quinoa protein under Mill Creek Keratin conditioner) and steam for 20 minutes
Rinse out with aloe vera juice
Cover head in aloe vera gelly and sit under steamer for another 20 minutes
Co-wash out with Deep Steep Daily Repairing conditioner
Blowdry

This is what I do for the conditioning treatment right after the relaxer is rinsed out and the first wash a few days after... I'm glad I only do this a few times a year lol.

I'm in the middle of my hair routine right now, but I'll type out Sunday's regimen:

Prepoo on dry hair with Trader Joes TTT Conditioner
When I get in the shower I will apply Trader Joes TTT Shampoo on my scalp before rinsing out the conditioner or getting my hair wet in the shower. This way the shampoo rinses out with the conditioner and my hair is clean and not tangly.
Deep condition and detangle with Pantene 2 Minute Masque.
60 minutes under my HotHead
Rinse
20 minute t-shirt dry
Set with flexi rods
60 minute Pibbs dry
Put hair in 4 twists with satin covered rollers on the end
Sleep

ETA: I just did my second flexi rod --> twists for a twist out set and I just think it's an extra and unnecessary step. I like the way my twist outs come out on t-shirt dried hair so on Sunday I will simply twist after I t-shirt dry, Pibbs, and bed.

At a Dominican BSS here in Miami. They make this amazing Wheatgerm and Argan serum too that smoothes like nobody's business!

Right on time as I was just thinking about this.

Follow up from last week, the egg white dry shampoo worked great.

This week, October is over, its time to shampoo!!

Revised**
Pink bean and oil shampoo first, my hair has to much gel to apply henna striaght away.

I plan to do a henna and indigo treatment, my hair has been looking too brown recently. Will start with a fenugreek hair spray to moisten. Henna for 4 hours with the addition of rice bran vinegar for acidity and it more nurishing for the hair.

Then indigo, for 2 hours, with a teaspoon of salt added for depth of color.

After rinse, rinse, rinse, with the assistance of conditioner and fenugreek tea.
Then shampoo/condition with rice bran water rinse.

Sesasame and ginger oil treatment.

Egg yolk conditioner

D/C with AO Island natural conditioner.

Camellia water rinse conditioner follow by Licorice tea rinse.

Then braid and dry.

I will be finally 'tricking' my hair straight by 'treating' it to a relaxer

Trying out a new relaxer, Affirm creme relaxer, followed by Affirm 5 in1 reconstructor, DC with my sample of Joico moisture recovery conditioner, and then air-dry, and lightly blow dry.

Earlier this week I:
Prepped my twists with redken all soft deep conditioner
Shampooed with elucence moisture benefits
Quick DC in the shower while I shave with kerastase masquintense
Sprayed aphogee pro vitamin leave in
Moisturized with SD WGBC
Sealed with MHC buttery soy
I don't want to waste my natural staples on these extensions so I'm using up my salon brands DCers.
This weekend I will be refreshing with APB water leave in or Africa s best braid spray.
I will do a full moisturize and seal session on Monday.

Prepoo/DC: Shea moisture manuka honey masque
Cleanse: Elucence moisture benefits
Detangle: Elucence moisture balance conditioner
Leave in: Bee mine luscious, it's a 10

Tried a flexi rod set..which still wasn't dry after 2.5 hours under the dryer. Traditional roller set is always dry in a little over an hour smh. So I braided my hair using a little Darcy's avocado & plum twist cream. Stretched braid out for the weekend

Gonna get this cheesy weave removed, full wash and condition, and use new hair for the next two weeks. Pre installation i will prepoo with Soultanicals Power to the Prepoo (love that stuff) with a little tea tree oil for my sore spots. After its installed, will massage Bobeam Rootz into nape and edges. Dont want them disappearing on me in my desperation for protected hair

My usual shampoo and deep condition. I'm trying to decide if I want to try another roller set or just do some twists.

Hot oil treatment (I'm embarrassed to say this is my 1st time ever doing one)
Wash
Try the Aphogee Curlific Texture Treatment
Not sure if I have to follow it with a moisture conditioner; if so, then i will
Try the Aphogree Green Tea Reconstructor
Let my hair air dry in twists

My hair is an epic fail right now; a ball of tumbleweed, dry and blah. I need to get it together. I thought henna was my holy grail, but that was short lived. So I'm off to try a new regimen and experiment with some new products and see how my hair responds to consistency and the products.
