Do any of you ladies have both fine and coarse strands? How do you deal with your hair so that your fine strands don't break off? I'm noticing my finer strands are pretty short which is why I thought my hair was thinning.
TIA

Default Re: strand thickness

ugh...my bangs and kitchen are a LITTLE coarser than the rest. And they grow like crazy and I think I'm gonna have to trim those more so the finer stuff can catch up and be even.

What's worse is my fine strands are 4b/c and the other parts have a looser curl, not coil. Ugh! So they need more babying and take TWICE as much product. So what I do is use the most product on my crown and sides and the back and bangs it kind of spreads too.

I'm thickening it all with henna and as much protein as my hair can take and it's working--but a slow process. Also, the ends get jacked a lot faster with SSK and splits so they need a light dusting like every 4-6 weeks. Otherwise they break and break and never retain.

Now, with this regi, I'm actually retaining this time around. Hope this helps!

Thank you @DarkJoy! I wish the variances were separated but I have like 3 fine strands in a group of 10 course strands. Maybe I'll try to treat my hair as if it were fine through out.
