Re: Calling ALL KeraCare users and future users!!!
KeraCare was my go to when I was relaxed. My stylist used Affirm Sensitive Scalp and styled with KeraCare, and I used KeraCare to maintain. I used KeraCare pretty much exclusively from the time I was 14 until the time I BCed, when I was a few months shy of 25.
I loved and still love KeraCare. However, the items I use have changed. When I was relaxed I used the Hydrating Detangling Shampoo, Humecto, and Silken Seal Liquid Sheen. The Detangling Hydrating Shampoo does just what it claims it will. Humecto was the bomb, and the Silken Seal was a great heat protectant.
Now that I'm natural I still use the Liquid Sheen. I also use the KeraCare Silken Seal (serum), the Oil Sheen, the Setting Lotion, the Essential Oils and sometimes the Creme Press. The Silken Seal is great for blowdrying. Now when I straighten my hair I use the Silken Seal serum first, before blowdrying, then I spray the Liquid Sheen between the blowdry and flat iron process. Makes my hair look like it's still relaxed (see signature).Sometimes, I might use the Essential Oils SPARINGLY on the ends to smooth them a bit more. I only use the Creme Press if I'm using a curling iron. It has a lot of hold and a little goes a really long way.
The Setting Lotion is absolutely fantastic. It makes my hair silky soft with body. It's the only thing I'll use for rollersets.
The only thing I've tried from KeraCare that I didn't love was the Oil Sheen. It says to use sparingly, and that's definitely correct. It makes my hair kind of stiff. It is shiny, but something about it...I don't know. If I ever use it up I won't repurchase.
Also, for those who didn't know, the scientist behind the line As I Am Naturally is the founder of KeraCare. So if you wear your hair curly or in it's natural state and you like or liked KeraCare, check out that line as well.

Re: Calling ALL KeraCare users and future users!!!
KeraCare was great when I had relaxed hair. The whole line were pretty much staples especially the Humecto conditioner. Doesn't do much for my natural hair unfortunately, but I haven't tried the newer natural line.

Re: Calling ALL KeraCare users and future users!!!
I like the hydrayting shampoo and Humecto. I really like the Everyday buttercream. It's really moisturizing. I bought my second bottle this week. I also like the Affirm 5 in 1.
It's really beneficial for my hair.

I use the Keracare Humecto conditioner but I only use this to mix with my protein conditioners. It gives my hair a nice balance.
I have used and liked the silken seal liquid sheen. Great for straight styles only.
Next, I will try the intense restorative masque and the edge tamer!
|
Oh yeah @ PinkPebbles, I'm a KeraCare Lover.
I have been adding them slowly to my regimen for almost 6 months and know that they are now staples along with Aubrey Organics HSR, WC and GPB conditioners only.
I just added Kerastase Age Premium (Substantif) poo & Masque and getting ready to add a couple more in this line. I am replacing my Moroccanoil products with Kerastase.
I also like a few of the Redken Masks and treatments - at least 3 of them - the Smooth Down, All Soft and Extreme. I am going to stick to using products that work for my hair. I can't speak for anybody else, but KeraCare is one of my staples.
Oh I almost forgot, my ceramide conditioners will primarily be Matrix Biolage Balms and Masques -I always loved these! SilK Dreams is slowly winning me over .
I used to have at least 25+ different brands of products in my stash, now I've reduced it to 6 or 7. That's enough for me.

Re: Calling ALL KeraCare users and future users!!!
I love love love KeraCare!
I love the Overnight Moisturizing Treatment. It's my fav! I also love their Essential Oils. I use it for sealing and the 4 oz bottle has lasted me such a long time.
I also use the Hydrating and Detangling shampoo, First Lather Shampoo, Intensive Restorative Masque, and Humecto. When I'm in the mood for heavy sealing I use the High Sheen Glossifier. When I'm having flaking issues I use the Dry and Itchy Scalp high sheen glossifier.
I've been using a mixture of the Humecto and Intensive Restorative Masque to deep condition for the last 2 weeks. It left my hair feeling so silky so I'm going to continue using it. I usually alternate using either one but I want to give my hair the best of both worlds EVERY week.
I also want to try the conditioner for color-treated hair mainly because it has ceramides as one of the main ingredients.
I love my little army of champagne bottles.

Oooh I really want the bolded @ Raine054, but everytime I tried to order it from our local distributor, they were always out of stock.
As for the color treated conditioner, I was not a great fan of it so gave it away to a friend of mine who's hair is bleached and she likes it. Looks like I'll be needing that high sheen glossifer though .

Hi ladies:
Wanted to know if any of you have experienced dry, matted hair after using the
Sulfate Free Keracare Shampoo? My hair is relaxed.
Thanks!

Re: Calling ALL KeraCare users and future users!!!
Is anyone here relaxed and using the KeraCare Hair Milk - Daily Sustainer?
I just purchased this and have been using it only 3 days. The jury is not in yet, so I was wondering if I could get some feedback in advance...
Description:
Nourishes and defines natural hair with a carefully selected balance of natural ingredients. Amla and Shikakai provide excellent moisturization. Argan Oil, Abyssinian Oil and Soybean Oil help hair achieve its proper oil and moisture (lipophilic) balance. Amla and Castor Oil impart wonderful shine to hair.

Humecto Creme Con
I also have the Creme Press but haven't used it yet as I read here that it's not good to put any product on your hair before flat ironing... I may try this next flat iron though, it's been sat on my dresser for 3 months!
I have ordered the Natural Textures Leave In (I hope it's a good alternative to Mizani H20) and the Natural Textures Twist & Define, I can't wait to get these!!!
At Christmas I'm going to treat myself to the whole darn Natural Textures line... but only if I've reached my goal length.

The Keracare Clarifying shampoo must be followed by the KC Hydrating Detangling Shampoo in order to work properly. The clarifying poo makes my hair a little hard as I'm shampooing it but as soon as I put on the hydrating poo, it softens immediately. I really love these shampoos. My hair is mildly texlaxed.

I have used the Hair Milk @ baddison and I love it. But then again I am mildly texlaxed and I wear my hair cornrowed under a wig currently. That may have something to do with me liking it.

Thanks @ Aggie for replying. Do you apply the milk to wet (damp/towel-dried) hair, or do you use it on dry hair? I'm still trying to experiment with the best way to use it.
