Spring Trends- Maxi Skirts (Requested!)

Here's a complilation of various looks for spring with the ever so popular maxi skirt. All pics were found via my tumblr. Some originated from bloggers or sites like chitopia. I won't post individual sources, but the pics on my blog (in my siggie) should site the source.

dark paisley midi skirt and dark neutrals- check your thrift store for below the knee dresses. if you find something a little to large, don't fret just add a belt.:



crop tops and maxi skirts are great for transitioning to summer. crops tops are NOT for everyone though.



polkadots work well with pastels and other solids:



pair bold skirts with a white top for more balance



she also adds heels the right way (which is difficult for long casual skirts/dresses)


high-low / mullet skirt. pick the right shoe! this actually looks like a diy wrap skirt which is doable for a beginner:

I love this high-low midi. paired perfectly with comfortable grey sandals. great for an afternoon at the museum and a picnic in the city park.

how to do volume. (the print in the top is horrible) you could easily by some wax print and have this simple skirt made. check with the tailor 1st because this is A LOT of yardage:


chiffon done for everyday. please don't leave your house in knickers and a see through skirt if you are not walking the runway. this mini skirt looks great underneath the maxi.


i think this midi is too far under her boobs but i like the idea. maybe a wider belt would create more waist???

with a blazer, ditch the stole for the warmer weather and wear a cute shirt so you can take the blazer off if you need to

those are by asos(pumpkin heels), but there sold out in that color all they have left is purple.

Thanks. I already have shoes similar to it. And they don't even have the purple anymore. I know one of you girls bought the lastof the purples. Who did it? All the have left is the mink color, which is a nice neutral

I am about to head out for a day of rag housin' (thrift stores) looking for vintage maxi skirts. I have one that I bouht from Ebay, but I need more.

While errand running today, I stopped by a thrift store and bought a vintage maxi skirt that I am in LOVEEE with!!! I have paired it with a wide belt and a tank. I LOOOVE it! This thread is already getting me into trouble
