Re: The Jheri Juice Challengeeeeee!!! Lets get our retention on point!!

Are you serious? You mean because it's offensive to you that you want to remain happy so you want them to remove it?

I think you're the ONLY person who has seen it who didn't find it funny. ...

Re: Let me show you why I’m tripping…

Why is everyone assuming that it must be her regimen or detangling. Her hair could be at its terminal length. Everybody has different life cycles for their hair. If the life cycle is 3 years, then...

Re: RELAXING WHILE PREGNANT!

No, I didn't ruin it. I just spent money for nothing. The pH level of your hair changes when you're pregnant. Relaxers work because the pH level is higher than your hair pH level. When that gap...

Re: RELAXING WHILE PREGNANT!

I'm natural now, but I did relax when I was pregnant with my daughter. It didn't take. I was thinking about transitioning anyway when I got pregnant with my first son (it had been over a year since...

Re: My Boss Tells Me NO MORE BUNS! How Can I Look My Best & Keep Hair Healthy?

Just wanted to chime in and say that while the boss did say to wear your hair down more and lose the bun, she may not have meant exactly that. The bun is messy and looks like you didn't feel like...

Re: DH wants me to relax because the natural look looks unpolished...

Re: DH wants me to relax because the natural look looks unpolished...

Does everything here have to come down to denigrating someone else for having a different opinion? I'm married. I wouldn't DARE relax my hair because my DH asked me to. He met me when I was...

Re: DH wants me to relax because the natural look looks unpolished...

I don't even read half the comments. I stopped half-way through. So why is there a need for padlocks?

Re: DH wants me to relax because the natural look looks unpolished...

You're funny!

To the OP: I haven't been in your shoes. And I'm glad I haven't. But it seems as though you aren't really invested in keeping your hair natural anyway as you seem to imply that...

Re: Saved and Sexy?

I totally agree with this.

Becoming One by Joe Beam is an EXCELLENT read on the marriage bed as well as other areas of married life.

Re: First time self perming RANT!!!!!

I'm natural so I don't relax anymore but I relaxed for years prior to going natural in 2003. Rinsing is THE key step. I just don't think she should be scared unnecessarily by constantly saying she...

Re: First time self perming RANT!!!!!

Not using neutralizing shampoo is NOT bad. Improper rinsing is what is bad. She'll be fine. She seems to have rinsed enough with the multiple shampooing that she did that she had to rinse out and...

Re: First time self perming RANT!!!!!

Because thanking you was not enough. I had to quote it to thank you "in person".

People neutralizing 50-11 times are helping themselves though but it's not the shampoo that is doing it -...

Re: First time self perming RANT!!!!!

I agree with vkb. Neutralizing IS the important step, but shampoo isn't necessary for neutralizing. Rinsing for a minimum of 5 minutes will stop the processing of the relaxer. Affirm Fiberguard,...
