Starting my Loc Journey...
I am so excited! There have been so many inspirations for me. I finally got tired of styling my hair, the kinks, the breakage from combing, and just trying to seperate my strands (they were always trying to stay wrapped around each other anyways, lol).
Not only that but it is a spiritual process for me as well. I am just so thankful for my hair and all the craziness and calmness that it brings to me.
My family & friends I am sure will have something counterproductive to say, but I can't live for them. I am just so happy now with my starter locks, it's just so hard to explain.
Just wanted to share. Peace.

Re: Starting my Loc Journey...
I hope you have a great journey with your locs :yeps:
I've seen so many beautiful locks, it's not for me, I think I would get klaustrophobic if I couldnt comb through my hair, But I really do think it looks beautiful and admire thoose who can keep their lock fresh and clean looking too
My mother in law has long locks down to her waist, Beautiful

Congrats, keep us posted!
What method did you use to start your locks?
I think locks are beautiful, I kind of want some (in a couple of years)

Re: Starting my Loc Journey...
Wow..congrats. You're one of the few women here going this direction. I wish there were more dreadlock posts....both starting and care. I'm not locked, but I love them and I'm studying them informally.
How do you plan on starting them? There are so many diff methods, so have you settled on a method yet?

Re: Starting my Loc Journey...
Thanks so much for the encuraging words. I have already had them started with comb coils. My hair was about 6 inches in length so now with the coils my hair looks even shorter, but its all apart of the process. Peace.
