Exactly!! I cannot believe there is no H&M in Dallas. I am so mad about that!!

I'm so pissed. I just did the store locator on the H&M website to see which store would have the Jimmy Choo stuff. Turns out that even though I'm in Philadelphia and there are TWO H&M locations within 4 blocks neither of them will have it.

So... I recommend that everyone look that up before you get too excited like I did.

Jimmy Choo for H&M

Handbags at dawn for the luxury shoe brand's designs for high-street giant H&M, which launches this Saturday.

By Bronwyn Cosgrave
Published: 8:00AM GMT 11 Nov 2009

Winning collection: (clockwise from centre) suede dress, £149.99; leather bag, £179.99; zebra-print pumps, £49.99; leopard-print bag, £79.99; and leather shoes, £79.99, all Jimmy Choo for H&M, 020 7323 2211.

The glossy white paint is still damp on the fabulous disco-inspired window display at H&M’s flagship on Oxford Street. Outside, there’s an air of feverish anticipation. “I want the one-shouldered dress in leather!” cries a thirtysomething woman, transfixed by the knee-length number suspended in the window. A bespectacled Italian lady, nose pressed against the window, inspects the faux snakeskin-trimmed oversized handbag and declares: “I like it.” “I own three real pairs and I’m buying two of these,” says another, staring covetously at some vertiginous studded gladiator sandals.

They are, of course, salivating over pieces from Jimmy Choo’s collaboration with the retail giant, which hits selected stores this Saturday. This multifaceted collection - masterminded by Tamara Mellon, Jimmy Choo’s glamorous founder - marks the accessories mogul’s first foray in clothing. Her expertly-cut, Eighties-inspired womenswear and slick menswear suits are as desirable as the polished accessories. Made in Europe to retain the quality for which Jimmy Choo is renowned, the high heels and ballet flats are crafted from leather. The standout seductive evening sandals, for example, come in electric-blue leather, while handbags are finished with sculpted metal hardware. The look is more luxe than the usual fast fashion fare and its upscale edge is reflected in slightly higher prices (shoes are £49.99 - £179.99; bags, £17.99 - £179.99; and clothes, £29.99 - £149.99).

'I wanted to give something back' Expect everything in this “ultimate party wardrobe” to sell-out when it goes on sale. Anticipating crowds to gather from midnight, the first 160 customers aiming to buy accessories at each H&M store will receive bracelets assigning a specific shopping time. The move may seem draconian, but “it was the only way to control the crowds,” explains a PR. “We’ve been getting calls since we announced the collaboration in May.”

If it’s handbags at dawn at H&M, the ultra-chic Jimmy Choo collection is absolutely worth fighting for.

Did you get anything?

I went to the Brent cross one @ 7.30am and there was already 100 people there queing.

They started letting us go inside the shopping centre, there was men there who blantenly said that they were going only to make £££ selling online.

By I the time i get to the lady who is giving out the wristbands that are now grey (1145-1155 shopping time) she hands the last one out to the couple in front of me who proceed to run off to the store clutching the prized bands like crazed elves.

I went home.

Im not bitter

Oh no that suxs, I feel for you honey. We got there for 4.30 but there had been people camping there since 9pm on Friday.

It was awful, there were people blatantly going to sell the shoes on ebay, women crying ‘cause they didn’t have a wrist band and the shoes they wanted were gone, people getting kicked out for trying to get into the enclosed area without a wrist band and that pregnant women (she was about ready to drop) was trying to blag her way in on the strength she was pregnant.

I saw one woman who had one of each pair of shoes, all the bag and all the accessories, which I think shouldn’t have been allowed.

I got the zebra shoes, the red rap around shoes, the bracelet to go with the zebra shoes and a leather bag for DH (the men’s collection was hardly touched honestly you could hear crickets chirping). My sister got the black dress with diamante detail, the blue cage shoes, the black and blue shoes, the zebra shoes and the bracelet to go with the zebra shoes.

My sister and I were in the last but one time slot (11.15-11.35), I think the only reason we got anything was because I’m a size 4 and she’s a size 7.

How expensive was the stuff? There's already stuff on ebay, but some people are starting the bidding at $300 and that sounds way too high for h&m..
