Yes! We are official and very well prepared.

I had a smoothie this morning and I am already fighting the sugar cravings. I have plenty of fruit to fight the craving so I will press on!

I will try to post my menu at the end of each day so I can have an on-line journal of what I ate during the Challenge.

I am so thankful for all of you.

Starting weight - 150 (I gained a few pound since my sister been in town! ) :(

Hey ladies:weird: I'm ready, i'm ready, I'm ready!!!!:yay:

I posted in the other thread but here was my breakfast:

homemade granola with bananas in almond milk
water

I have my homemade flax seed crackers to snack on all day and raisins.

Plan to make avocado and raw corn salad for dinner tonight:D

Will probably have a smoothie somewhere along the way.

Last weight check in was 125.

ETA: My goals are to be healthy inside and out, clear up my complexion (hopefully), be more of a independent eater, and learn cool new recipes:>.

Hey ladies. Right now I am focusing on smoothies and salads until I get the hang of things. Did we ever find out if any of the protein mixes posted in the other thread could be considered raw? Take care Q

Ladies,
First I am so glad we are doing this challenge. I really think you attract to yourself people who are on the same wavelength. I came to this board looking to fix my hair, but the buzz of vegetarianism was already in my ear. Over the past week, i have read every book on raw veganism I could put my hands on. I am really super excited about this whole thing especially because of the amazing "side effects" people have recounted as part of their experiences. After doing high raw for the past week, I went to yoga with no foundation on my face and my girlfriend said my skin looked fantastic. Yay! I got to a place in my meditation practice today that i've never been. This is going to be a fantastic month. If anyone is really interested in aquiring some literature on the subject I just finished Alissa Cohen's book Living on Live Foods and it was fantastic. So was the Sun Foods Diet Success System. Oh and Rawvolution by Matt I forgot his last name . . .Boy my library card has been getting a workout!
Sorry this is so long I am just really hyped. I am working on typing up some of the recpies I've found. What would be the best format for sharing them if anyone is interested?

Hey!!! I'm definitely here and up for the entire count. There's a new wardrobe in it for me...

I've been juicing everything but my kitchen curtains with the new Juicer that I picked up from Walmart Saturday. (Only $30 - Black and Decker).

Breakfast Today:

Banana and a homemade fruit smoothie (mango, strawberries and banana mix). Nice thick and yum...;)

Lunch: I'm eating a half cantalope with fresh pineapples in the center. It's looks pretty and it's good.

GUESS WHAT MY SNACK IS? Champagne Grapes...:p They are the tiniest grapes I've ever seen and they are so good. They just pop in your mouth with the nicest flavor.

And yes, I will definitely be freezing these for the 'Frozen Grape' Treat.

For dinner...the Raw Lazagna. I posted the recipe last night on page 7 of our original thread. OHHHH, for the measurement of the Braggs Amino, or the 'filling', it should be teaspoon...not tablespoon.

I'm so happy.

My goals are: Healthier body; more energy, cleaner body inside, skin, hair, nails, and to be in my size 8 wardrobe by Thanksgiving. Cause I have this cute little dress... and shoes to match.

Loving Blessings to all...

For those of you who are in this to lose a little weight (I'm one of them) here is some info I found today:

http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18535 (I'm getting too skinny!)

Post #3 and #9 have the best clues to lose weight thru Raw Food. Sweet fruit is the culprit. Eat less and you should lose the weight.

HTH!

Hey all.. The great day is finally here.

Breakfast was a quick 2 banana, frozen berries and 1/2 ruby red grapefruit and water smoothie. VERY FILLING!

Didn't eat again until 3pm- wasn't hungry. 2 valencia oranges for lunch!

Snacking on some flax cracker and guacamole currently.

Dinner was some homemade mango salsa with banana filets, sliced valencia oranges and a bunch of KALE as a garnish! and yep I ate the garnish!
I made my husband the same, but I substituted the banana filets for some grilled mahi mahi filets. It was all good!

Thanks JFEMME for the new challenge thread!

here is a pix of my dinner! Yummy!

I picked up some pears, bananas, oranges, kiwi, parsley, celery, cucumber, spinach, greens, a coconut, peaches, raw honey, sea salt, and mangoes. I looked for that little gadget you posted to open a coconut but no luck. I may have to pay you to pick me up one and ship it because I loovvee coconut. I also ordered Rawvolution and Eating for beauty. Take care Q

Good Morning Ladies,

This is what I had to eat on yesterday, Tues., August 15th:

From the Whole Foods deli/salad area

Collard Green Slaw that consisted of green cabbage, red cabbage, collard greens, collard green slaw dressing (canola oil, vinegar, honey water, salt, lemon juice), spices, turmeric, cayenne pepper, sea salt and black pepper.

Waldorf Wheat Berry salad that was made of wheat berries, apples, celery, green onions, walnuts, mint, raisins, dried cranberries, apple cider vinegar, orange juice, orange zest, and olive oil.

I snacked on 3 organic bananas and had a hand full of raw pine nuts.

Everything was so delicious and surprisingly, I was so FULL!

I love eating without having to cook. :) :) :) :D :D :D

How's everyone else doing?

Hey everyone!

I made an avocado, corn, tomato, and red onion salad yesterday with apple cidar vinegar and lime. It was good on a romaine lettuce leaf. I also had a smoothie, lots of nuts and dried cranberries.

This morning I had my homemade granola again and bananas in almond milk.

Will have carrot and apple juice for lunch with raisins and nuts on the side.

Dogmd, you dinner looked great, can you share your recipe fpr mango salsa?:)

Hey everyone!

Hey.. JewelleNY.. I am gonna make your corn/ avocado salad today.. that sounds fabulous.

Here is the recipe.

1 sweeet ripe mango -peeled and chopped
1/2 serrano chilli- seeded and finely chopped
1/2 large red sweet pepper (bell pepper) seeded and finely chopped
1/4 cup of finely sliced green onion
1 tablespoon organinc apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons of EVOO
2 tablespoons of lime juice
1/2 teaspoon of finely grated lime peel ( I used a zester grater)
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp celtic sea salt

Combine all in a mixing bowl and eat!
Don't use a food processor, you want it to be chunky!
