Hi I was on weigth wathcer's a couple of month's ago. I lost about 5 lbs and hit a plateau i guess. well I would like to try it again. I think my biggest problem is i was raised on any the wrong food's and alot of it so now i am eating the right food's but still big size portion's. Can you give me advice on how many activity points you eat? what kind of excersie do you do ? water, how much do you drink ? is crystal light good to drink ? any other tip's would help i am thinking about joining on the internet again any encouragement or help would be good.

Hi - glad to hear you are ready to give ww a try again :-)
Portion size is key, I worked out for years and never lost more than a few pounds because I was eating HUGE portions. You absolutely HAVE to follow the portion guidelines.
Crystal Light and anything else is fine I guess... just make sure that you include it in your points ratio. My son would laugh at me because I would have water to drink with breakfast. He would say "mom why dont you have some juice instead of water" my reply would be - why would i have oj for breakfast (2 pts) when I can have a ww ice cream bar later (2 pts)....
so basically, in the beginning dont focus so much on what you eat, but HOW much you eat. Then once you get a good handle on proper portion sizes, begin to look at the types of food you are eating. You will then realize that instead of having one piece of fried chicken, you can have two pieces of grilled fish for the same amount of points.... and so on and so on...

well portion size is right thats the whole answer to being successful with weight watchers....activity points well that depends on if i decide to use my activity points and if i have any for that day...but most of the time i can use the flex points to cover if i go over(u get 36 flex points to use within a weeks time)...along with ur daily points....
the first time i lost 20 pounds doing weight watchers...i was eating for lunch alot of salads(wendy's) subway subs(turkey) those were only used if i would get bored of eating the frozen meals(Lean cuisines)...and then i would eat a sensibile breakfast and sensible dinner...
for exercise the first time i walked 5 days a week for 55 to 60 minutes a day...
i lost 20 pounds in about 4 to 5 months....then i moved and put majority of the weight back on because my mom was doing alot of the cooking and i was eating out more...
this time so far ive lost 13 1/2 pounds i started out walking 6 days a week for 60 minutes a day...now im lucky if i can walk 2 or 3 days out of the week because of my work schedule....i also before added some Turbo Jam in with it the 20 minute dvds...
I drink about 4 to 6 glasses of water a day i really dont keep count of it...before when i first started i know i was drinking alot of water because i would have a big cup and just fill it up with ice and water and sit at my desk and drink it....i need to get back into it....because it would help me lose more fast...i dont really drink anything else like Crystal Light...
I am also a member online and have been for a long time...but i never lost weight with being a member online....so thats when i decided to go join at the meetings....i feel its more motivating to go and get weighed in..i dont have time to stay for the meetings but thats my challenge to see the numbers on the scale go down.....
for snacks...i like to eat healthy pop kettle corn mini bag pop corn they are 1 point, weight watcher desert cakes are 1 point, 100 calorie cookies are 2 points, they also have the 100 calorie chips which are 2 points also if you can find them...fruit ..mostly grapes and apples(apples and peanut butter yum)...bananas with my cereal...special k waffles for breakfast w/ lite syrup...lean hot pockets i basically eat them every day for lunch....
also i find that adding fiber to my diet is good...keeps me going to the bathroom which is good....so thats where the grapes come in at...
the points calculator is good to have when you go shopping....
well good luck i hope my tips were helpful..
