i've been gettin a few flare ups, which undoubtedly for me, leads to small browish scars wherever a spot has lived..esp when i squeeze them..eww
anyway, my dads wife has FLAWLESS skin, and told me she uses her aloe vera moisturizering, antibacterial handwash by Carex...
i used it and it was GREAT! my spots shrunk overnight, and so far no evident scarring!
give it a try :)
Congrats Candy_C! I've been saying this for months. I discovered this accidentally and then started using it on my teenage son. It makes sense though, doesn't it if your acne is the result of dirt and bacteria?

yeh!! its good stuff. i'm sure theres such thing as anti-bacterial face wash but i've yet to find one that doesn't look cheap or isn't endorsed by l'oreal..i find those brand names mess up my skin.
carex is good though, they have an antibacterial bodywash which is excellent

I've always been nervous to use anti bacterial wash on my face. I think that I will get clear..keep using it and then have my skin become immune and break out again...
However, I do use neosporin cream when I am having a major break out. Its anti bacterial also and it takes about 1-3 days, depending on the severity to clear.

I can believe that. Candy C do you have oily skin? How long have you been using it? Is it drying?
In case this helps anyone else....
I have dry skin. I cleanse with Dial (of all things) antibacterial soap and then follow it with an EVOO wash. I use sugar with either the soap or the EVOO and my skin has never looked better!

Isn't it like 90% alcohol? That would be too drying for me, I think.

I think you're thinking of sanitizers. This is liquid soap that has to be rinsed off. Like I said, I have dry skin. I'm in the over 40 crowd. ;) Plus, I follow it with an EVOO wash.
Some acne is hormone-induced. I don't suspect this will work for that. Although, I haven't even had the occasional breakout around my period.
If you have some around the house, give it a try.
THanks for the tip I was using Cetaphil anti-bacteial soap but it is not strong enough.
