I have extremely sensitive skin and somehow I always wind up getting a rash from the sunscreen I use. I tried a sensitive skin version by Banana Boat which has zinc oxide (physical barrier) and it made my very bronzed skin look like I'd slathered Desitin cream all over.

Any suggs for a mild sunscreen that doesn't look ghostly white on our skin?

I use Estion Sunscreen, it has zinc oxide in it. It does not leave a white cast and does not cause breakouts. you may also want to checkout the new sunscreen the FDA approved rencently, Anthelios . It has superior UVA protection from what I have read.

Shea butter is a natural sunscreen, that's what I use.

I don't believe that shea butter has a high enough SPF to provide you with the adequate protection you would need.

Have you tried ones with titanium dioxide? That's usually the main ingredient in the ones recommended for the face, beside zinc oxide.

Have you tried any suncare products from a health foods store like Whole Foods or Trader Joes? They have suncare products that are natural and won't contain the irritants/bad ingredients like most commercial ones. I can't personally recommend one but HTH.

I'm allergic to sunblock too!

The only sunblocks that I have tried that don't give me a rash (I just got over one last week and it was BAD) are neutrogena dry touch spf 45 or Clinique super city block.

The new aveeno sunblock and various moisturizer/sunblock combinations have given me rashes.
