How often do you recommend a replacement FullSet?

Hey ladies,

I just got my very first acrylic full set and I love them. I know I should get a fill every two weeks, but how often should I get a whole new set? I think I will switch to silk for my next set. I have regular, shorts acrylics.

When I wear acryilcs I usually wear the acrylic set for a month getting 1 fill-in and then I remove them and get a gel overly on my real nail. That may be an option for you.
I would remove the gel completely from my natural nail if it began to lift, otherwise I wouldn't worry about it. Also, I've never worn any acrylic/gel for longer than a year tho so that is a factor.

Okay, I never heard of Gel before. I'll have to keep that in mind and ask my manicurist about it when I return for my first fill. Thanks!

Gel is more natural looking and healthier for the nails, it's more expensive than acrylic. It doesn't turn that yellow color that acrylic can turn sometimes.
