Anyone know of a good cleanser that contains clay (Kaolin or Bentonite) as a main ingredient?? My facialist recommended Dermalogica's Derma Clay Cleanser for my excessively oily skin. I like it except that it contains the known irritant, menthol, and it's wayy overpriced. Any suggestions..

I use Lerosett (by Gunilla of Sweden). It's an amazing clay cleanser. The ingredients are Rasul Clay and distilled water. It averages about $20 for a 2.5 oz tube....a bit pricey, but works wonders on cleaning your skin and clearing your complexion.

Thanks tallygirl! I've never heard of that company before, I'll be sure to look it up.

I currently use Avon's True POREfection Skin Refining Cleanser. It's clay based and is targeted for oily/acne prone skin. I love it!!!!!

How about purchasing your own Rhassoul Clay and mixing it with water?
Here, visit treasuredlocks.com, they have it:http://www.treasuredlocks.com/hurhcl.html

The C.O. Bigelow line at Bath and Body works has a clay cleanser for normal to oily skin. The cleanser for very oily skin is a liquid I think. It's a good deal, 8 oz. for $15. I started using the toner for normal to oily skin and it's been great so far. Still using up my other Aveda products.

Why Kaolin or Bentonite specifically? What do they do for the skin? Thanks!

One of the Executive Assistants at my company sells AVON and she always has a goodie bag with "extras" in it. This is how I discovered TruePorefection. I only paid $3.75 (reduced) for it and it has lasted me at least 3-4 months. And it's a terrific cleanser!
