Hello, ladies. I would just like to share the products that work for me. For the past couple of years, I've always battled oily skin, monthly breakouts, and worn foundation to cover it up. I've tried almost every drugstore product under the sun. It wasn't until earlier this year when I stopped wearing foundation. My boyfriend told me that I didn't need it, and I, myself, didn't want to become dependent upon it. I noticed that when I stopped wearing foundation, that my skin got better, and when I started using the right products, my skin thrived. Here's what I use:
(I wash my face twice a day)
1) Avon True POREfection Skin Refining Cleanser
2) Avon True POREfection Skin Refining Toner (nighttime only)
3) Clinique Total Turnaround (nighttime only, maybe every other night)
4) Aveeno Cleark Complexion Moisturizer w/out SPF (daytime, sometimes nighttime when I'm not using the Clinique Turnaround)
5) Persagel 10 (a couple times a week to help prevent breakouts or battle them when they occur during that time of the month)
6) St. Ives Apricot Scrub (once a week or so)
7) I use a mask by Clinique, but when that runs out, I'm switching to Avon's Skin Refining Mask (once a week or so)
I've found that I don't need harsh products to get my skin in shape. The Avon cleanser is a staple of mine. I just ordered 3 more tubes of Cleanser & 2 bottles of Toner so that they could last me while I'm at school. I love my routine, and it has really helped my oily, acne-prone skin. The Clinique Total Turnaround (jar) is one of the best products that I've ever used for my skin. It gently exfoliates, renews skin, and fades dark spots overtime. I find that using it every other day or just a couple times a week (instead of everyday) works out best for me. If I use it everyday, it seems that it may "slow down on working" after a while, and I'll have to take a break from it for a couple weeks, but when I start back using it, it starts working great all over again. So, every other day or a couple times a week is good enough to produce excellent results.
As far as makeup, I still have some foundation, but I hardly use it anymore. Now, I only use Clinique's Instant Pore Perfector in the mornings to help battle shine throughout the day. It doesn't add any color, and it's more like a liquid powder. I use that and either MAC X mascara or CoverGirl Volumizing Mascara.
