Did you guys know that Subway did not originally endorse the Subway diet? Here's a quote from an article. I don't know how old it is:

[ QUOTE ]
Subway Corporate Dietician Lanette Roulier stresses that the chain does not endorse the "Jared Diet." "It?s great that it worked for him but I would rather he had eaten a balanced breakfast and more fruits and vegetables," says Roulier. They are not endorsing it, they are just capitalizing on it.

[/ QUOTE ]

However, now it does seem like they're endorsing it. I mean wouldn't commercials featuring Jared talking about his weight loss be an "endorsement?" I guess the $$$ was looking too good to them...

Right? Now there are others besides Jared who subway is featuring in their commercials. There's this set of black twins that lost over 100 lbs each using the 'subway diet'... personally, I don't know if I could live off of one sub a day from Subway. I'm too greedy for that http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/trampoline.gif

Yes, the article says he skipped breakfast, had a 6 inch turkey sub for lunch and a foot long veggie for dinner and allowed himself to drink diet sodas throughout the day. It said he was consuming about 1000 calories/day (which is basically not healthy!). So, I agree Caramela--I need a little more food than that.

BTW, those twins are cute on the new commercial. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The "Subway Diet" doesn't sound healthy to me. How can 1000 calories a day be enough to sustain an active adult?
