www.healingtherapies.com (http://www.healingtherapies.com)

I go here to get my colonics done. She's very nice..getting a colonic is the most uncomfortable thing in the world but she talks to u and relaxes u while she's doing it.

She has the lights dim, soft music playing. she's alot cheaper then other places that Ive found also.

She's in Brooklyn.

Also check out this site..

http://www.i-act.org/ THis is a directory of people who are licensed to give colonics nationwide

Click Refferel list and start your search.

GIrl If I waited for a refferal I would have never found my place in BK...

I called 2 other people prior and didn't like their prices and attitudes so I went to Marcia and she's very nice.. and almost 50 dollars cheaper!

Do you have to get something written up from your doctor to get into these places? God bless you all.

Nope.. This is what you would call alternative therapy.. it cleans out your system. But I wouldn't recommend that it gets done often. THe body need some sort of Bacteria in the system and doing flushes all the time will get rid of the good and bad bacteria.

Zoe? on the other thread about flattening the belly, someone said it was a "pleasant" experience. Warm light pressure.... ?

The biggest fear I have about these "cleansing" procedures is that they will be uncomfortable....

Just how uncomfortable is it? If it's too graphic if someone could PM I'd REALLY appreciate it. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

During the procedure it feels like u have gas..but water is being flushed in and out of your body so once its over the bloating will be over..

The whole thing is awkward because u have someone sticking a tube up your bum..but you'll be ok.. The person should be talking to u to loosen u up so you dont even realize what your doing.. I say try it for yourself..I had 2 friends go after I reffered them and they liked how it felt afterwards and they will definetely go back again.

Thanks Zoe - I just want to know if it's bearable or not...

Tracy, i just want to reassure you that it is indeed very bearable. trust me girl, i am the most coward person on this earth - serious! - no joke! i wont even take my babies to the pediatrician for their shots. everytime they needed to go from birth till now - hubby has to take them. i just dress them put them in the car seats send them off and wait for them at the door to come home! i could tell u more of how cowardly i am but.....

now when my ma n law was trying to persuade me to do this i refused for over two years. and one day after much reading up and persuasion!? i just did it! it is really very simple. read my review in Whats up with a colonic thread. im doing them every 2-3 months hence forth http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

i dont mean to be graphic. but try putting vaseline on your index and inserting it 1" - cause thats as far as tha insert goes! if you want a further before hand/similar experience - just buy an enema bag at duane reade or cvs and do it at home. and youll see.... http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cool! I'm going to do more research and as soon as I have the funds I'm going to do this.

If so many people do it I can't believe you're all masochists of some kind. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
