A tip for organizing your shoes etc in boxes in your closet

I've seen people who will leave their shoes in the shoe boxes and then take a Polaroid of the shoes and tape it on the outside of the box so that they'd know the contents without having to open the box. That is fine and good but I've never been much of a fan of that b/c I dont like to waste money on film (although digital cameras have made that easier) but I thought of a better idea. If you purchase something that has an online store or catalog, simply cut and paste the picture and print that out. That way, you can make it larger or smaller as you choose and not have to be confined to one size of a polaroid or whatever. This of course only works if you can find a picture but since I do a lot of my shopping in stores w/online sites it's easier. And if you use Google a lot of times you can find a picture even if the item is out of season. Also, I have a file where I have a picture saved of the purchases that I make so that I can have them when I need them for whatever, to keep track of what I own, to plan outfits, etc.

I purchased yet another set of shoes boxes last week. The clear ones. But now, three new pairs later ( dont ask ) I dont really want to part with the boxes they came in...
