I have one week before I go on a cruise and I would like any tips from you ladies on how I can flatten my belly/torso area in a brief amount of time. I know that Im really pushing it...but I have been working out, Atkins dieting, and I will begin a lenjuice cleanse tomorrow. I have been frustrated for years because I had multiple fibroids removed 2 summers ago and although this area has improved and I feel better (most important!) Im tired of having a belly that is disproportionate to the rest of my body. It ruins all of my outfits and my profile. I am dying to wear a bikini this summer since Im turning 35 and dont want to get depressed over it. PLEASE give any suggestions you may have...Thanx for listening.

In one weeks time, I don't know of anything that will give u a FLAT belly, sorry http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/nono.gif you can try drinking warm water w/lemon to reduce water retention, lay off fatty, salty and carbonated foods/drinks. Other than that, hold that tummy in as best u can, and next year u can have worked up to that flat tummy w/lots of crunches and aerobic excercise!!!

Cut out all dairy, carbs and greasy foods. I know that doesn't leave much to eat, LOL, but it will definitely reduce a tummy. Also do leg lifts if you have problems with the lower abdominal area. HTH

I am able to do this; I don't know if others can but, if I don't eat for like a day, I lose about 10 lbs and my stomach flattens. Unfortunately, once I eat again, the stomach pokes back out and the weight comes back.

Thanx ladies. I started the Master Cleanser today and as you know, I can only drink lemon/lime juice with distilled water and maple syrup. I will do this until Thursday, when I will slowly add veggies and fruit to prepare my stomach for "real" food on the cruise ship. Thanx for the replies....

The Master Cleanser is one of the diets by Stanley Bouroughs. You mix 2Tbls. of fres lemon or lime juice, 2 Tbls. of Grade B or C maple syrup, and 1/10 tsp. of cayenne pepper in 10 oz. of distilled water. You drink nothing but this for one, three, or five days in a row. Do a search on the internet...sometimes its referred to as the lemonade diet or the lemon juice diet.

Lady libra, I thought about the colonic but I didnt want to do anything that drastic w/o further research, especially right before a trip. Thanx for the suggestion, though.

lunal. a colonic will do u just rite the day before of the week before - there is no after effects. except instant weightloss and a flat tummy http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif - i now know that http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

hi lunalight:
i doubt that you will want to eat anything "heavy" after your colonic b/c your body feels so cleansed. it's recommended that your first "after meal" is clear soups, fresh juices, raw fruits and veggies. most people (even red-meat eaters) don't want to eat the same foods afterwards b/c "this is their chance to start over!" your tummy definitely will flatten b/c waste and water retention (sometimes 4-6 lbs) is flushed out and this is the "stuff" that causes the tummy to protrude. you will get the (quick) results that you are looking for and feel much better! you have nothing to lose (but waste and a tummy http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif btw, have a pleasant trip!

thanks nyc!
more on colonics: i know this woman who has them regularly and her complexion glows, the whites of her eyes are clear, and her belly is as flat as a board! the only drawback is that these treatments are $75-$150 a trip and i would'nt want to become dependent. you can also "look" at what comes out (impacted tar-like matter, mucous, worms, partially digested food...are you grossed out yet???) i think this procedure is GREAT!

Pardon my ignorance, why wouldn't an herbal laxative do the same thing as a colonic, but w/o the extra price and discomfort? And if you want to look at it, it'll be right in the toilet http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I think that the colonic reaches the waste that's in the small intestines a herbal laxative reaches the large just like enemas do. With a little practice you can give yourself a colonic, everything can be purchased out of a drugstore.

you are as crazy as you want to be!!! i can hardly breathe from laughing at you. a herbal laxative has nothing on a colonic. the colonic feels...pleasant (warm, light pressure) http://www.longhaircareforum.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gifoo:
