After doing some reading on the forums about black soap, I ran over to House of Africa here in Charlotte and purchased the natural, for-real, raw variety. For $10 you get this nice-sized tub of brown earthy-looking stuff that smells like nothing. I took it home and gave it a go.
The black soap leaves me feeling all squeaky clean (and that tub will last for eons). I exfoliate after with an exfoliating cloth and follow with a swipe of a tea trea oil-soaked cotton ball, then apply a little Cetaphil moisturizer. The Cetaphil makes the tea tree oil I've just used TINGLE; it feels amazing. Kind of an icy cool tingle... love it.
So I've been doing this for a week now, and I gotta say my face looks great. Dark spots are definitely fading and I can see a really soft glow. I'm not breaking out anymore, my skin feels soft and it's smooth. After just one week, we're working our way back to crystal clear!
Just thought I'd share. Black soap rocks, and I am loving me some tree trea oil!
