View Full Version : How to gain muscle mass

I'm interested in building up some of my muscles in the upper arm area. Can anyone recommend a weight lifting program to do daily to increase my muscle mass?
Right now I have two 8lb dumbbells and I do biceps curls 3 sets of 30 every day.
But I'm not sure if this is enough sets to do daily to see results. Also how long should it take to see results? TIA

I don't know if you are interested in in workout tapes but whenever I do the Firm I gain muscle mass really quick and I see the results in 3-4 weeks. But I don't like that because it makes my weight go up and I want to see it go down, even though they say muscle weighs more than fat, but that just discourages me.

You might also want to check out some of the workouts in magazines like Shape and Fitness. Also, push-ups might be a good option for you as well since you're using your own body weight and they work your back, shoulders triceps and biceps. If you think you wouldn't be able to do them on the floor, you can always try doing them upright against a wall, table, or counter. HTH!

Thanks ladies, I found an old fitness magazine I had and it had tons of pictorial diagrams of different work outs I can do. You're only suppose to do them 3x per week to increase muscle mass.
