I was reading in People how people lost this and that amount of weight and this one woman said, whenever she'd get a craving, she'd write on a sticky note "God please deliver me from this to where you want me to be" something like that. And she'd post it. What helps you?? I like this idea but I can't think of anything motivational/encouraging enough.

Anything..?
I've never used phrases when experiencing cravings. Sometimes my cravings are too strong. Hopefully other that do this will come along with ideas.

Affirmations can help with so many things.
I don't have any personally, but it is a good idea.
I am going to try to search the net to find some.
Around that time of the month it is SO hard for me.

I have a few things that help me through:
#1)I say: " This is for *my bf's name* "
Now ladies, don't get the wrong idea. My bf loves me at the weight I am right now (20lbs over my desired weight). He loved me when I was at my desired weight (when he met me), he loved me when my hair was in braids, he loved me with the fro I had when I took them out... You get the idea. We have been in a relationship for about 2 years; we have been in a long distance relationship for about 1 year. It kills me everytime we see each other (once every few months) and he looks better and better, more trim and lean and musclar and I haven't lost the weight that I said that I wanted to lose for the next time I saw him.
I like to say my mantra b/c it's added pressure for me to kick it into high gear. I want to show up, looking fabulous when I see him again - probably sometime in March or April. I have to put extra pressure on myself b/c I don't care about letting myself down so much (I'm a slacker), but I'm a people pleaser, so I don't want to let other people down. If I make it that kind of challenge, things work out better for me.
#2) I visualize an outfit that I want to buy when I get slim.
I want to buy new clothes again!!! (I refused to buy clothes until I reach my weight goal).
#3) I say "this is for Europe"
I'm going on a trip in May, and the European ladies are really trim! Plus I plan to have a good time eating all the yummy foods that I meet, so I need to lose weight so I won't feel bad.
#4) I say things like "move that fat a**", and "come on!" to myself
This is the heaviest I've been in my life, and I don't like it. I find that sometimes when I'm feeling sluggish, this extra self denigration makes me fight through the tough times on the treadmill or when I'm doing weight training.
#5) I visualize myself back down to my ideal weight and with the long flowing hair that I hope one day to have with LHCF.
I guess I am a tough love kind of exerciser. LOL:grin: I'm a laid back person by nature, so I need to be aggressive when I'm trying to accomplish something.

I look back at pictures where I was thinner.
I try to think about how good I feel after I finish exercising.
Each day I workout, I mark it on my calendar. I like to see a whole week, or a whole month with all the days marked off. So I strive to make sure my calendar is marked up.

Oooh I do that too!
I also have written in the goal weights that I should or would like to be at for every week.
For example, I'm trying to loose 2 lbs a week for about 10 weeks. So every Tuesday has the weight that I hope to be that week on the calendar.
I say:
Nothing taste as good as a size 8 feels.
If I'm in a gym and I feel like slowing down, I look at someone with a body that I like and use that as motivation.
I think about how I look in my bikini and how I want to look.
