Ladies, I need your help with choosing a foundation and face powder. My complexion is the same as Stacy Dash's and I was wondering what color, brand and consistency of foundation should I use? I have never really been into wearing makeup but would like to try. I'm looking for something that won't make me lighter and it won't make me darker something that will provide a sheer coverage if possible. Thanks for you help ladies.
If you have a Prescriptives counter in a mall near you, I would start there. They have a really wide selection of colors in the Virtual Skin category that also take undertones into account. Once they colormatch you, you can get a sample that will allow you to try it out for a couple of days or weeks depending on how much you use. If you like you can invest in that foundation. If not, you'll at least have a color that you can match up with a cheaper brand.

Myco, someone offered that suggestion to me a while, but everyone keeps telling me that Prescriptives is not a good foundation. Thanks for the suggestion. Shalom

Maybe u should try a tinted moisturizer. They are light and should give u a sheer coverage.

I'm about the same shade you are, and the only foundation I've found that blends in well with my coloring is MAC StudioFix. I wear NC50...you apply it with a sponge and can get light to heavy coverge, whichever you prefer.
It looks totally natural on me, people are always complementing my skin, not my makeup.

Thanks Lovelylocks, that's a good thought. Do you know of one that will match my skin tone? Thank you WomanlyCharm, I'll definately be giving this one a try.

I wear NC50 too :) its perfect and the best makeup Ive ever used...when I was in school I was broke and couldnt buy any for a while(I was using some cheap discontinued revlon foundation I got from big lots..lol)...I just bought some more Studiofix for the first time in a long time and the difference makes me feel like a new person! I feel cute again! especially when paired with my new love, milani serindipity!(sp)
