Okay today i went to my first class at the gym...Short cycling my trainer told me i should give it a try....the class was killer and to make matters worse my butt, groin, back and arms were killing me. I mean i'm 5'9 and i got a really big booty...I dont know if you've seen the size of the seats on some of these seats, I'm still tripping about this because my butt hurts so bad /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, then the instructor tells me i should buy cycle shorts because they are padded....i need a bigger seat so all of my butt can sit /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif But thank goodness that torture only lasted 30 minutes i was tempted to walk out, they say the first class is the killer i'm thinking unless i get a big booty seat the class is gonna be killer for a loong time. Just had to vent! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If it's one thing I've learned about classes, it's this: if you don't like the first day, you aren't going to like the days that follow.
If you can get out of it, do it!

I guess so, but i have this big problem with giving up or quitting even if its something i dont like, i'll try the class again at a lower level...i can get out of it you just walk in and do the class and go about your way. If i dont like it next time i'll take Cardio step lol

5th,
Try the padded biking shorts and one of those gel seats for regular bikes. I don't believe that there is much difference in seat sizes of stationary and regular bikes.
You can do it!!

Its not the padding thats the problem, and there is a tremendous difference between the stationary bikes and the cycle bikes, the stationary ones are wider and more heart shaped while the cycle ones are shaped like conventional bikes but smaller.
