I have been taking this for a while now but just read in this book
The Truth About Beauty by Kat James
That Cod Liver Oil is good for
Hair, Skin, Joint Flexibility, and Immunity!!!
The dose for adults is to take enough of the oil to give you 10,000 IUs of Vitamin A a day!
Hope this helps someone!

Thanks, it helped me!! I bought some because a friend suggested it for my daughter's cold. However, I HATE the taste (even though it's cherry flavored) and was going to throw it out. But since it has other benefits, I'll just have to suck it up....literally.

Fish oil/cod liver oil is GREAT. I have been taking a teaspoon on most days, and my skin is a lot clearer. I have to be more consistent with taking it though

I order mine from here(I split a case w/ my cousin)
www.greenpasture.org they have a cinnamon flavor where you don't taste fish at all.
I take about a Tablespoon a day it allows your body to absorb more minerals from your food and my hair is benefiting from this!

I absolutely love Cod liver oil. My mother and grandmother used to give it to me and my sister when we were young to ward off colds. We rarely got sick!
I now give it to my kids and they do not dislike the taste ( very odd) and they rarely get sick. I take it also and i am breastfeeding and it is great for the baby it helps boost immunity. My skin is alot more moisturized.

I have a friend who swears by it and she told me that her grandmother made her take it and now it is second habit, boy those grandmothers were on point, a lot of what I do now is stuff I was told to do back in the day by my grandmother.

i gotta start back taking cod liver oil capsules! i never really experienced any benefits from taking it because i was taking them inconsistently and irregularly. i wanna be consistent and persistent so i can experience the health benefits from them too!

I take cod liver oil for the arthritis and it has helped tremendously. I don't know if its the oil or the Zyflamend, but for the first time in months I'm pain free. I have a little stiffness in the morning, but nothing like what I was enduring back during the summer.
I also give it to my babies and even though my daughter was a preemie, they don't catch colds. Zadie's three and she's never had a cold. Luke's had one cold and he's almost two. And you're right lyphe, they don't seem to mind the taste. Mine is lemon flavored, but it doesn't have any sugar in it--strange.

I'm sure taking the actual liquid is better than capsules right? I don't think I can bring myself to drink it so the soft gels will have to suffice :look:
My husband suffers from TERRIBLE asthma and had to be hospitalized about 3 years ago because of it. When he was released from the hospital his mother made him take cod liver oil soft gels and he's taken them daily ever since. No he's not cured but hasn't had an attack since and he NEVER gets colds or the flu. I really believe the mediciation he takes now along with the cod liver oil has prevented any attacks.
Now that I know cod liver oil is good for hair and skin I think I'm going to have to start taking it. Thanks vester!! My skin could really use it right now

The liquid is quicker, you just suck it down. To get the optimal dose 10,000 IU of Vitamin A per day -- that can be alot of pills...
MsKendra, I just read that Raw Honey is good for folks w/ Asthma...

I take the cherry flavored liquid. My trick is to stick the spoon in my mouth and then tip my head all the way back. That way the oil misses 95% of the taste buds on my tongue. That way it's more like an after tatse instead of all over your tongue.

It doesn't completely mask the taste, but it's better than nothing.
