ladies...

my skincolor has changed:perplexed. It's now darker with a greyish tone and it looks really dull. Usually this change and greyish tone goes away when I use EVOO...but this time it's diffrent it hasn't gone away.
Also I have been getting really dark under the eyes.
Has this happned to anyone...a sudden change in color?greyish dull look?
do you have any idea what it may be?

Hi Safina - This has happened to me before. This is what helped me:

1. Drinking more water
2. Cutting back on harsh skin care products (like anything with Benzoyl peroxide, AHAs & BHAs, retinols and heavy vitamin creams)
3. Moisturizing the face twice a day with a gentle product like Oil of Olay Daily Moisturizer..

Hope this helps you!!

THANX! :)
Yes, i figured it had something to do with my water intake. I barely drink water...I will start doing that. I don't use any creams whatsoever just Olive Oil from time to time.

I was going to say drink lots of water too - it's the most important thing we can do for our skin. You could be experiencing a lack of blood circulation too. Exercise will also increase this so you get your color back quickly.

I agree. This happens to me too sometimes. Do u take flax seed oil or Omega 3? That should help too.

Ashy dull complexion has to do with water and lack of nutritious food. Fruits and Vegetables? it really does matter and also helps your skin to heal better. What are you eating? Poor diet translates into dull, blotchy skin. Hope this helps:D

Are you getting enough sleep?

Water, vitamins and a physical might help.

You might have a vitamin deficiency. It also wouldn't hurt to get a check-up with your medical doctor to have your blood drawn and tested for anemia, etc.

I say go see your doctor. You may have a liver or kidney problem. My uncle went from "red" to dark skinned within a year. Turned out he had hepatitis and his liver was failing. I'm sure you don't have anything this serious...but liver problems do cause a change in skin color, so you may want to have it checked out.

Are you getting enough sleep and what you eat makes a difference also. Drink more water too. HTH

For starters I'd suggest to try drinking more water. I know when I don't drink enough water my skin sometimes becomes ashy and dull.
