I would like to invest in a treadmill and need help choosing a good not too expensive brand with features that will still work for me within a year or two.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

www.sears.com
better to go to an actual sears and check out the treadmills they have diff. prices.
nordic track is one of the best though and worth the extra $$ if you can swing it.

I have a horizon Club series treadmill at home. Good thing is that is very easy on the joints and not herky-jerky and has a monster 3.5 motor. Bad thing was it was almost 1K:eek: . Good thing it gets a lot of use!
Since I have a gym membership I'm really quite spoiled by the equipment and unfortunately gym quality equipment dosen't come cheap.
But I also need something for when I can't get to the gym to do aerobics and this fit the bill(especially for the early morning workouts)
The best thing to do is go and actually try one out and see what you like. Dicks Sporting Goods and Sports authority are two places that I know of that you can get on their equipment and see how you like it, and their sales people aren't heavy handed. I've never considered sears for gym equipment really because for me, the quality wasn't there. (I haven't been happy with Sears lately. sorry about that)
Just make sure that if you plan on running you get a treadmill with a heavy duty motor..at least 2.0 and up.
If you want something that does a whole body workout and is much easier on the knees you may want to consider an eliptical.

The Proform Brand is great from Sears. I bought one about 5 years ago and just recently upgraded to a Proform Elliptical. Their products are made well, fairly inexpensive, and come with a decent warranty.

I am in the market for an elliptical. I was considering a Proform, but they got bad reviews on epinions.com. But, you've had a good experience with it?

Do you think that buying a extra warranty for this?? This one comes with 1 year warranty along with 3 months on parts and labor or something like that.
