Yeast Infections and Alcohol

Has anyone ever gotten a yeast infection after heavy drinking? My doctor says that alcohol can cause yeast infections.

booze will feed yeast. same as sugar.

A friend of mine used to get them like clockwork.
She said the doctor told her that alcohol and sugar are contributors. (she is a constant candy snacker and used to keep an entire drawer of candy at work; wasn't really a big drinker though, but when she did.....oh boy!)
She totally cut all the sugars out and saw a big difference...(alcohol too)
