Green Foods Powder

Has anyone tried green powder that's supposed to be equivelent to eating veggies? I just bought some from Vitamin Shoppe.
I just want to know do you get the same benefits as eating veggies. Thanks.

Yes, but I've use Barlean's Greens and Perfect foods. I think they are both great- I mix them with green tea to drink because they're kind of tough to drink otherwise

i use VS's biogreens & Superblend 8 for over a year now. I have to have them in my house. I am very satisfied withthem both.

I bought some green foods being on my health kick- even mixing it with green goodness juice, it takes some psyching up to get it down. And with water it tastes like what I imagine pond scum would taste like. Can anyone tell me if they have seen any changes/benefits to regularly using the product? Because I need some incentive

I have noticed a lot of benefits...my skin has always been pretty clear, but the tone and texture have improved a lot. My hair also grows a lot more smoothly. I like the fact that green foods are the equivalent of 4 servings of veggies, but then you also get other good things like flax, seaweed, etc. I eat salads, fruits and veggies anyway, so I feel like I'm getting a bonus!

From a health perspective, I don't get colds nearly as much as everyone else and when my cramps have been bad a double dose has helped them dissipate. Keep in mind green foods have been part of my diet for about two years...hope that helps :)

I couldn't get drink this stuff without it coming back up:(. I need to try it in a pill form instead of a powder.

Is the taste bitter or what? Would mixing this in with fresh vegetable juice help with the taste? I was thinking about getting some of this stuff, but now maybe not.

I take Essential Green 3000 green food formula tablets I cant stomach the powder.
The pill are large and you take four for a dosage it works great for me because I dont eat any green veggies.
I have seen improvement in skin and hairgrowth I bought it from GNC.

Hi, I take the Garden of Life perfect food supergreens from Vitamin Shoppe and I think it's great. I use apple juice (not from concentrate, all natural) and I shake it up with a shaker I got from Vitamin Shoppe ($1.69) The shaker helps it blend very well. It looks really green but when you drink it, you get the flavor of the apple juice more so than the greens. I like it and so does my husband.

The one thing I noticed when I began to take it was that I was sleeping better at night. The other and probably the most important thing was that I began to use the bathroom more reguarly (bowel movements) I was constipated alot and now I am not.

The other thing I noticed was that I had TONS of ENERGY!!!! I havent' felt this great in years. It's been wonderful.

I've only been taking it for 3 weeks now and I have to stock up on my supplies again, but if its any consulation, keep going with it. It has helped me tremendously!

I'm thinking about getting some of this stuff now that I know I might be able to mix it with apple juice or something. I'm hoping that it'll not only help with my hair growth, but also my skin. Anybody had any good results with their skin or hair?

I am drinking some right now as I read this.

I have been taking this and fish oil and I noticed my skin starting to glow, lots of energry, and i swear even my eyesight is getting better.
