View Full Version : Need advice on gettng rid of these pimples!
I don't know what is going on with me. My skin use to be smooth and pretty but suddenly I broke out real bad on the forehead. It started a few weeks ago, it started off as a few little bumps and now it has spreaded. I don't know what has caused this and they won't go away. They have gotten a little smaller but they're still there. I've tried scrubbing them, using mtg, castor oil, vitamin e oil, alcohol and they are taking a long time to go away. What can I use to get rid of this?

Be gentle. I was haing the same problem before, but when I stop using all the products that aggrevate acne, my skin cleared up. Try a gentle oil free cleanser, witch hazel, and an oil mattifying moisturizer. It took me about 3-4 weeks to see results. Now I have predominantly clear skin; sometimes I have a few bumps, but not close to as many as before. Good Luck.

Why did you scrub the area with MTG and castor oil? This could be the reason for the breakout. The products could be clogging your pores.
I had scrubbed it with a sponge and soap, after I broke out. I had out castor oil or mtg on the bumps cause I thought they were good for skin problems.

What are you facial regime?
How much water are you drinking?
Are you using a new product in your hair? (I notice that oils from my hair will break out my forehead! Especially if the hair is in my face.)
I just wash my face everyday with soap and water. I drink plenty of water but I'm wondering could it be something in my diet. I'm not using any new products at all.

What kind/brand of soap are you using?

I use to have a few breakouts. What helped me is I actually bought a facial cleaner. I also added a facial moisturizer. Soap will dry the face out!

How much sleep are you getting? My skin will breakout something awful when I'm not sleeping enough. One night of good sleep can have my skin cleared up and glowing the next day.
It could definitely be something in the diet. Dairy products and wheat gluten aggravate acne in a lot of people...
How often do you change your pillow cases?
Using drying agents (i.e. alcohol, witch hazel) typically exacerbates the problem because the skin only produces more oil to compensate for the dryness...
Have you been drinking soft drinks or sugary juices?
Do you have bangs?
Have you been under an abnormal amount of stress lately?
Are you eating a variety of fresh fruits & veggies (preferably organic)?
Kinda icky but are you having regular bowel movements? A sluggish digestive system is often linked to acne breakouts...
Just a few ideas..hth...
I use almond soap to wash my face. I will admit that my diet has changed for the worse. I'm trying to clean it up and get back to eating right.
I'm not sure of the ingredients of the hair vitamins you are taking but if any of them contain a high level of biotin, that could be the cause. Many ladies on this site, including myself, broke out when taking biotin.
I have been using black soap for the past three weeks. Let me tell you: with the use of black soap and Himani, my skin is in heaven. I used Milk of Magnesia(MoM) as a mask before I started with back soap. I thought MoM was the bomb but now it is all about black soap. I don't even need a mask anymore. I did get a couple of big pimples when aunt flow visits when using MoM but on the last visit, I had none at all. I can't believe I've only had two pimples within the last three weeks!
Thanks for the info, I'm going to have to get that soap.
I'm so glad I used my tea tree oil cream, and aloe vera gelly and all my pimples are almost gone.

for me any wash with antibacterial ingredient and a gentle sea sponge. Then at night I wipe with salicylic acids pads or apply a thin layer of glyclolic acid.
Current Product List:
Clearasil Cream Face Wash for Sensitive Skin [contains triclosan--antibacterial]
Sea Sponge [gentle, gentle exfoliation, really cleans my pores, I can see ]
Oxy pads or Murad Acne Exfoliating Gel [to get rid of dead skin & disinfect]
Cetaphil Moisturizer SPF 15
