I've been doing tae bo for a while now, and I've noticed that my shoes don't offer enough arch support. Does anyone have any good shoes (inexpensive) to recommend? Should they be aerobics shoes?

What kind of shoes do you have now? I think aerobics shes should be fine. Just make sure not to trade arch support for ankle support.

I’ve found it more comfortable to do Tae Bo barefoot. Those little bounces they do between punches use to hurt my arches more than anything, so I make sure I do those with my feet flat on the floor instead of on the balls of my feet like they do.

See, I was wondering the same thing. I can maintain my balance so much better barefoot for the kicks and stuff, but I thought I might injure my feet.
I've got some New Balance cross trainers, and I would like to get another pair of cross trainers, because in the fall when it cools off a bit I'd like to start running again, and I don't want to have to invest in two pair of shoes. (I read somewhere that you should do more than one type of exercise. Right now I'm doing Pilates too, but that's not cardio. Plus, I'd like to run a 10K next spring and possibly a marathon in a few years if I'm not too old 40+). But I'm wondering if cross-trainers would be supportive enough. I think I'm going to try doing it barefoot tonight to see if I can do it.

Oh darn, no I can't do it barefoot. I use those dad-blasted billy bands. They'd cut my feet up I'm sure. Oh well, I guess it's off to the shoe store. Goodness I hate those places.
