Ok my modified Atkins is really starting to work. i was stuck at 147 for a long time then all of the sudden last week i dropped 4lbs in what seemed like overnight. I figured it must be all water but the next day i was up 2lbs but now i'm back at 143.5 and i was full when i weighed myself so it is actual weight lost YAY me!
ok and i had my consult for my tummy tuck. i went in and the lady told me to expose the gut. i pulled up my shirt and she says WHOA THAT BABY REALLY DID YOU IN!!!! then she explains that they will give a bikini line cut release the skin up about to the ribs, release my belly button, pull the skin down, cut away the excess and reattach/make a new whole for my belly button. the funniest part was when she said THIS PART RIGHT HERE WE WILL JUST PULL IT DOWN CUT IT OFF AND THROW IT AWAY, just throw it away i was laughing so hard she said it like it was nothing. she said i was an excellent candidate because i wasnt necessarily a big girl but that my stomach had excess skin hanging called an APRON. she said the stretch marks will be below the belly button so that i can wear half tops. i have never been one for half tops but i sure would like to sport a bikini. She says the only draw back is that the incision is from hip to hip. I dont care because i generally dont keloid and my scars look like a light pencil line from my 4previous (MEDICALLY NECESSARY)surgeries. I'm excited i want to get the surgery when i weigh between 125-130 so i have 13-18.5lbs to loose YAY ME I'M SO MOTIVATED!!!!

Go 'head MsP!!:yay:
I'd get a consult too, but my Mom is already saying that I'm body obsessed. She'd commit me if a made an appointment let alone had the surgery. Personally, I'd like some inner thigh and tummy lipo.

Awww, weight loss buddy...I thought you've have my back!! (pouting and stomping off). I don't want a tuck, but some lipo. I've got a pouch that is NOT going away.

ok lipo i can deal with but i saw people with a stomach like yours (solid no stretch marks) it was flat but to me it was not worth the hip to hip scar. i would loose all i could and then if you still have the pouch go for the lipo little pencil sized scars would be worth it.

I am so glad I read this, because this is exactly what I am going through right now. A little history about me…. On my 18th birthday I went for my first consultation for lipo. I always had a tummy and wanted it gone. Any how, I decided to wait on surgery and try losing some weight first. My start weight was 210 lbs I reached my goal weight at 155lbs. However, I still had a tummy. I decided to go back for another consultation for lipo and even put a down payment. I ended up backing out because of Sep.11..I was a travel agent for 3 years and the company had to down size. I was hurt because I was in college and had tuition due...so I had to get my money back for the surgery. 3 years passed and I ended up at 178lbs and 3 months ago that now is the time for me to have the surgery that I always wanted. This is a graduation present for myself, I graduated May 6, 2005. I spoke to the doctor and he told me the best option is tummy tuck. Because of my weight lost and gain and lost.lol..... :lachen: So now I have the 80% of the surgery paid for and in August I will get a tummy tuck. But I don't want the scar....so the doctor and I agreed that I will lose as much weight possible by mid July and we will see if I still need a tuck or if I can opt for lipo. I lost 10.5 lbs (168lbs) so far and I have a big drive to lose this weight. That is why I am pushing really hard this summer. My goal weight is 155lbs by July. I hate the scale right now because they lie.....they lie. I had to clean up my diet about 3 times this month. Became I am trying to find what combo works for me that allows me to lose 2 lbs a week. I don't want the scar. I seen it and I am more worried about the scar than the pain. I am an actress and I might need to bare skin someday. :(

For anyone considering a TT, if you can have a c-section, you can have a tummy tuck! The c-section was the worst experience of my life--WORST.

Leisha i'm with you if you can do a csection you can do a tuck because the csection goes deeper into the body
hottopic i say work your butt of and get lipo only dont let some money hungry surgeon talk you into any more! the more you loose the flatter you stomach then suck out the pooch!!!
