I sweat like crazy and it is very drying to the hair, when you can try a cw, or at least add some moisturizer to your hair. I've been working out all week and my hair has reverted in the front (I am wearing a straw set), so I just add a little moisturizer in the front and some gel and I am good to go w/ no breakage.

Hi Everyone,
I noticed that my hair seems to do better when I wash it after working out. I use a mild mosturizing shampoo and a hydrating conditioner. I tried the wraps, the wet sets and the condition washes and they did not work for me. I have gotten my hair regimen down to 1 hour................beauty cost.
hopes this helps:)

i heard that b4 you swim you should wet your hair it makes the hair swell with water that way it blocks some of the chlorine maybe you should spray your edges with water by/after and then moisturize

When I was fully relaxed I would just put my hair up in a high ponytail and do my thing. I sweat a lot but my hair always seemed to bounce back. It was never a big deal to me anyway because I wore ponytails most of the time anyway so if my hair got messed up I just brushed it back into the ponytail. Now that im transitioning (9 months) it still doesn't bother me. I just do a CW, add my leave-in, and a moisturizer and put my hair into a loose bun or ponytail. Personally my hair was always secondary to my health and body.

I just wear braided extensions but with my hairline free & cornrowed down. I do them myself, so I can just rinse them whenever & redo them if they get raggedy.

Not sure who you were asking, but for me it depends, usually on how I am feeling. There have been weeks I have cw my hair daily, but at the time I was rollersetting my hair nightly and letting it airdry so I stopped that because it was too time consuming and my hair was never dry in the morning. Now that it is warmer I do not care if my hair is dry when I leave out so I may go back to daily. Right now, after I do strenuous cardio and my hair is soaked from sweat, so about 3x/wk

I CW about 3 times/wk and shampoo/deep condition once a week, usually on Sundays. I cornrow my hair or twist it. Since I don't workout on the weekends, I wear a twist or braid out.

I have the same problem. I am only 6 weeks post and when I went to the hairdresser on Saturday, she pressed out the newgrowth and styled my hair.
BUT, yesterday when I worked out (did a hard BodyWorks aerobics class), I didn't wash my hair because I don't know if I'll be able to get it straight and style it like she did. :( Does anyone have any suggestions? My hair is so short that it can't be put into a ponytail.
Thanks!! :)

Wear curly styles by using Caruso curlers or flexi rods.

Ditto. I comb it wet and baggie with a phony bun or cover with a bun cover. Sometimes I put the conditioner in the night before and wash it out after the gym. I plan to keep doing this all summer.
I deep condition on Sundays.
