My boyfriend's baptism is at 6:30 tonight and I have an off-white suit that he likes and would like for me to wear. Is it ok to wear white or off-white to a baptism when that is the color that those being baptized will be wearing?

I think so...the colord doesn't matter. I wore white and torquois when I was baptised..
Its a suit, its not like its a long shirt and people are going to be confused.

Hi Caress,

First I think it is great that your boyfriend is getting baptized. What a blessing. :)

As far as you wearing off-white, I don't see a problem with that at all. :)

God Bless You both. :rosebud:

The color you wear does not matter. Off-white would be a great color to wear to a baptism. ;)

Actually in my church they wear black. :ohwell:

It took me a while to figure out why they do that. But then I realized all too often do you see women come out the water and SURPRISE, boobs everywhere.

I never knew that there was a dress code for baptism. Never heard of that.

My church has robes that everyone wear for the event, they are blue.

It's been years since I've been to Baptism. In fact, the one and only one that I had attended was my own almost 20 years ago. Well when I got to my boyfriend's I noticed that there were people dressed up and dressed down and another lady had on an off-white suit too. Thanks ladies.
