She has them EVERYWHERE. I use to sit on her lap and count them when I was a little girl.

I don't have a lot, yet, and in fact I have one on my high cheek area like a model which I love. I have about 5 micro mini ones under the skin on one side and two of the same on the other which are okay with me. But there's one I accidentally brushed yesterday that is pertruding from my face. This is like the ones I counted on granny's face when I was little.

I've heard that they can be removed but then again I've heard that the process is not permanent because they grow back. Anyway, has anyone been through this or know anything about it?

I don't want them all removed, just the one that sticks out. I keep accidentally scratching it... and plus, it's just sticking out like HELLO!

Heheheeee! Sorry, I don't mean to laugh, but you make it soooo funny!

Anyways, I know just what kind of moles you are talking about and unfortunately, I think it runs in the family. Or at least, that's what a doctor told someone I knew. My mother has them, and I will not be shocked if they appear on my face (I think I have them coming!).

Meanwhile, the good news is they can be removed. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif The lady I was talking about got some of hers removed.

They are heriditery and can be removed. I have them and have been back periodically to 'clean up' any annoying ones.

I've had them removed using some kind of dry ice where they place a q tip on it and it. Pain factor 4/10 feels like a sting. I've also had them removed using this needle which has some kind of electrical pulse sent through it which singes them off. Pain factor 5/10 although some stubborn moles need a stronger application and you do feel a sharp pin stab sensation /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

In both cases the mole falls off clean after 2/3 days. Yes moles do keep appearing on the face again over time but I don't have them coming up THAT often. The cause of them is apparently to do with the melinin (sp?) in skin. The treatment is very worthwhile if they annoy you and its good to know you have a choice.

Thank you soooo much. I've heard about "freezing" them off but wanted to know more about it... pain level and if they would come back.

I'm definately going to do it, it's just not out of hand yet but looking at my grandmother... I know it will be.
