I never even considered this until I looked in Dangerously Shy's album. Has anybody else tried them? Do they acutally reduce your waist size or do they just make your waist look good whilst you are wearing them?

I desperatley want to lose weight around my waist and stomach ONLY without losing it anywhere else. I quite like my bum / thighs as they have curves now (whereas before I was straight like a ruler and I HATED that).

I am one of those people that will lose it if I start burning fat all over which I don't want to do! I want to be a 'pear shape'.

Any responses would be great - thanks!

What are they? The girdle-type things, or the band that you place around your waist that's supposed to make you lose?

Hi LDebagoria,

At last - a reply!

Yes they are a band thingy that goes around your waist. Some have suspender attachments at the bottom some don't. They come in different materials/designs such as rubber or cotton etc. I didn't know any of this until yesterday - I spent a lot of time researching them on the internet!

I haven't tried them, but I don't think it's very healthy. It's important to be able to breathe freely from the whole stomach, not just the upper part. I don't believe in restricting clothes. There's a reason why women stopped using them.
There's nothing wrong with a nice sexy corset though :)

Good point about the breathing, only thing is I spend so much time holding my stomach in anyway that I was still thinking of getting one. I never let my belly show - it looks horrible and fat!
