what shoes to wear with capris?

ladies...i broke my toe and can not wear any cute sandals or wedges in the very near future. i have some dressy capris and jean capris that i want to wear, but i'm not sure what type of shoe to wear with them. i don't know how to even shop for flat shoes. any suggestions? pics would be very helpful.

With the jean capris, you could wear phat farm tennis shoes if you were to wear a fitted t-shirt or a cami top:

Saw this site listed in the Village Voice, http://frenchsole.com/ they have some cute driving shoes, although they say they are not for heavy walking/long distance use, etc.

Although I have seen EVERYTHING worn with capris, one is supposed to wear flats. It has something to do with length and proportion.
