Has anyone had this done? I've been thinking about getting this on my chin and upper lip. Were you happy with the results and were they long lasting? About how much did it cost? Thank you to anyone that answers. I dont know anyone who has done this personally so It would be awsome if I could get some feedback from any of the wonderful ladies here.

There was a member here from Atlanta who had this done. I forgot her screen name...I don't think that she posted anymore after this became a pay forum. If our old saved threads and/or pm's are ever restored, I'll let you know.

Out of no where excessive hair starting growing on my upper lip, chin, neck and side burns/chin line. I was told that it takes between 3-6 treatments for it to be permanent and completely gone. Each session was $400.00. After the third session, we noticed that the hair hadn't decreased so she told me to get checked for PCOS. A couple of times they turned up the power and went over the areas multiple times. I completed 5 treatments and my hair is still buck wild. I got checked out and was diagnosed w/ PCOS so they said that's why it isn't working for me. I need to get my body in check b4 I try to get rid of the hair cuz it is always going to grow if my body is out of balance. I wish I would have known that b4 I spent $2000.00. Sorry to give a bad report, but my situation is different. I have heard good things about it from everyone else, and I am definitely getting it done again after I tackle this PCOS.

Thank you for your post mzcaramelicious07 ! I thought that I may have something of the sort but I had infertility problems and they checked me for PCOS. I ended up getting pregnant with clomid. I would hate to spend a whole bunch of money and have nothing to show for it, I am sorry that happened to you. What do you do in the meantime? I dont see any excessive hair when I look at your pics (beautiful hair btw!) I was thinking of maybe bleaching my upper lip and just keep plucking my chin (even though i know its bad)

Please, please, PLEASE don't pluck any hairs! I went that route and it just makes things worse. No matter how tempted, girl DON'T DO IT! lol Yeah u can't see the hairs in the pics (thanks for the compliment), but I have some fine ones on my chin, neck and upper lip Before some were thick. Now they are fine, but there are still alot. Right now I am just letting them chill. I am thinking about waxing, but I doubt I will do anything because I have used cremes and everything grows back w/in a couple of days. I'm not going to pay for wax sessions like that. It isn't so so noticeable unless you are all up in my face, so I am just chillin' rihgt now until I get this PCOS in order.

I have had laser hair removal and I love the results!
I got it done in Dallas at my Dermatologist's office. It is $250 for an "area". An area is like an entire face, entire back, legs, arms...et al...
It's kind of painful, but for me it has been worth it. You have to be extremly careful who you go to though. The first time I got it done, it was not by a dermatologist and I got burned...literally.
Make sure whoever does it is familiar with AA skin and there is a M.D. on site.
