I believe it is easy to lose the weight, harder to keep it off. It seems that every year I tell myself I am losing this weight, and I do, but every year I also put it back on, sometimes even more. My problem is I work out hard to get the weight off and then return to my old habits as if I will not gain it all back. I am happy for you making the decision to put yourself on 'front street' and making a promise to make a change for yourself. I wish you all the best in your efforts.

That's why I have decided that I'm not dieting, I'm changing my lifestyle.
I don't want to constantly gain-lose-gain again. It's not healthy and confuses my body.

Toinette,
try not to weigh yourself every day. It will make it a lot harder and sometimes it might even seem as if you're not losing weight. Also what will your exercise routine be like? What do you like to do?
Remember that when you do cardio + weight training + sensible diet, you will lose a LOT more weight faster.

hey nay, i want to weigh myself everyday for the first week just to see what the food intake does for my body day-to-day. for the same reason's, i'm going to start working out next thursday. i have a lateral thigh trainer which i like so i usually do that. plus i walk to class everyday and walk around our huge *** campus so i know, plus i work in an office where i'm always running around so i knwo i'm at least walking 45 minutes a day. i have soem resistanct bands that i need to start using. i wanted to lose like 30 more lbs before i start doing anything too crazy. i figure with soem of the weight gone, it should be easier to do some of the other workouts.

Today's weigh-in: 214.0 down from yesterday's 217.6
Yesterday's food intake:
11:30AM: three scrambled eggs fried in butter
2PM: half of a low-carb chocolate brownie bar from slimfast
5PM: the rest of the spinach beef thingy (it was not a lot)
7:30 PM: 1 low-carb breyer's ice cream bar (i think i'm gtting used to the watered down taste of the ice cream because it actually tasted creamy to me yesterday)
8:30PM: a tiny slice of heavenly dessert low-carb, no sugar cheesecake (y'all have got to try this. it tastes so good. it doesnt taste like regular cheesecake but it doesnt taste bad. borders bookstore also has low carb cheesecake which tastes sooo good)
12AM: (i was craving a peanut butter sandwich made with white bread and a glass of chocolate milk sooo bad)...so i had a hamburger patty instead!! with a tbsp. of ketchup
i also made sure to try and eat more today cuz i think my caloric intake the last two days was kind of low and i tried to space out the eating a little more.
i hope i stay on this path because i've lost 8.2 lbs in three days with no exercise!!!

hey sweetie, i am determined this time around. and that's also part of my problem is that when i am focused i can lose it pretty fast, so i always figure i'll pig out and when i really want to i'll do something about it. i was just going to weigh myself everyday for this week and not weigh so often after that, but i dont think i can do that. i need to know where i'm at everyday. it motivates me. hope your workouts are going well. i'm going to start on thursday. make sure to check in on friday. good luck :) !!!
